We have an Auburn guy locally, great guy, but everyone is tired of his constant banter about his home state, annoying.

Nick Brown? I actually like him more than most of the local guys.

Harris said with receiving corp now and incoming guys height and ability he's "like kid in candy store"

Said Coach Miles does great job recruiting players that can play as Freshmen. Not just their ability but the coaches trust in them enough to play them.

He rooms with LF and said it's hard to believe but he improved as much if not most of anybody on team especially pass catching and taking it to house. Said LF is humble and he has never heard him talk about Heisman even though one of the favorites.

Fletch asked where Brandon has improved most from last fall to now. Harris said learning the playbook ins and outs understanding offensively why they do different things in differnt situations. He said his second year in system now he knows more of what he is supposed to know. Emphasized LSU in "Coach Cam's system" runs pro style offense where it's QB's responsibility to know everything to put them in best position to win, not looking to sideline for coaches to check the plays.

Fletch asked him what goes through his mind when he hears all the analysis of LSU's upcoming season says "they have gotta solve the situation at quarterback". Harris said our coach has won a NC and knows what LSU has on roster and he will make best decision to help LSU win.

Fletch goes on to talk with him some about his personal life at LSU and other things.

Fletch asked him if he has seen DBU video. He has and said LSU is DBU.

I have no doubt that LF is a great guy, but I find it hard to believe that a guy whose first TD in college finished with a Heisman pose never talked about it.

While I believe this is part of the system, I do not believe the head coach has the confidence in many QB's to do this without the "check with me."

To get back on the subject of Harris....

Straight out of Harris' admitting that it's the playbook that has been his hurdle. Yet, the Rant mostly still believes it was Miles the whole time.

Absolutely shocking thar freshmen have learning curves to handle.

Shocking.

Would have been nice to see a small package of simple plays like they had for perrilloux.

I've just grown tired of any local radio guys who aren't LSU fans in any way. If your hearts not in it, one can tell. I've heard very good things about Fletcher, but don't listen. That's all, it's a preference. Sounds like a very good interview. As for Nick, Great guy. Period.I love to listen to him talk high school and local college, but not LSU. It is what it is. I kinda tune out there, as well as when he has the guy from Lyndeys on, cause all they talk about is something going on in Alabama or Mississippi. I'd love to hear more about our local colleges, our local radio guys often forget their audience. I should have explained that. It's a personal frustration. Good guys, in Nicks case I can personally say great ( know him and he's a fantastic human being, salt of the Earth), and not entirely their faults that they don't necessarily cover things the way I like. I loved Fox when he was on locally, more because his heart was all LSU and the Saints, a kindred spirit that worked well for me.
I listen to local radio a lot, and know most of the guys and really enjoy most of it, just not my LSU coverage when certain guys are on, that's all.

I have a lot of confidence in this offense moving forward. Just hope Harris can keep a steady head to run it. My guess is that he has matured a ton in a year, hope so, because I think we can be championship special if he in particular does. I just don't want too much local pressure on him to do so. Kinda felt several in his home area did him no favors stating their opinions last year.

RP was a soph so he was better adapted at that point. They didn't even let him throw too much when they'd sub him in some. Just shows the learning curve. That, and the fact that BH is said to have had an injury issue. It just all added up to not being ready to play much as the season progressed. People made way too much of Les' saying BH was going to get snaps. It was all to keep defenses from preparing for just one guy. A small strategy but a strategy nonetheless.
