There are so many teams within driving distance of ULL and LSU you could pair up for Supers. ULL could be paired with Ole Miss, TCU, Rice etc....

Nope. It's you. It really is too vast for your comprehension.

Not disagreeing with you, but it ticks me off because strength of schedule is a component of RPI.

No one understands it..including you. The committee doesn't understand their own selection process.

So speculating we won't get a super regional after finishing:

3rd in the SEC (highest RPI conference)
1st in the SEC Tournament
Top 8 RPI

Because we are 60 miles from Lafayette, is stupid. Location is far down the list.

I hope lsu does get the top-8 nod. If we win tomorrow, we deserve it.

I'm talking pairing regional hosts here. The only thing that would stop a pairing of LSU and ull super would be if they are both national seeds.

Yes but you seem to be making the opposite assumption here, as in that if the only reason LSU won't be a national seed is that the committee wants to pair us with ULL. That's just not true. The committee will pick the teams with the 8 best resumes, and then they'll worry about pairing host sites.

We definitely have the resume to do so. And in 2014 they shouldn't screw us out of a host just because of our proximity to Lafayette.

This right here is important. I feel with a win tomorrow we basically took Ole Miss' place as a top 8 seed. I just feel the top conference is going to get 2 top 8 seeds.

Location isn't on the list. Assuming we won't get a super because ULL gets one is on par with thinking that we will get a Super because 12,000 people will attend the game. Neither matters.

LSU and ULL are both super regional sellouts if they sent teams from Russia and China to play here. Selling tickets is not something the committee will be thinking about when discussing ULL and LSU.

I wonder how hard it will be to get student tickets if LSU is sent to the Lafayette super regional

My tuition will finally pay off
