I was jealous of his look.

someday I'll go back. Hard to go to a bar by myself and leave wife and kids at home for a game on TV. Wife never wants to go (even though she watches the games on TV at home).

I think it's fun as hell to watch the games in a bar like that. The Michigan bar is also a great time (when they win).

I was at Legends for the 2011 Tennessee game & had a blast. It felt like the Varsity but twice as large & nicer. Was pretty cool to see hundreds of Tiger fans cheering on the team & then walking outside & looking straight up at the Empire State Building.

Was at Baseball Tavern last year for the Wisconsin game. Downside to that was that Wisconsin alumni also called that bar "home" & the red outnumbered the purple & gold 3-1. First half was no fun, but they werent crowing so much in the 2nd half. Tom Petty was playing Fenway that night, so the best spot in the house was up on the roof bar watching the game w/ Petty rocking out across the street.

I was at the Wisconsin game as well, but on the first floor. I was a little disappointed in our turnout compared to theirs. It was unusual.

There were some a-hole Wisconsin guys at the table next to us. I kept my mouth shut when Melvin Gordon was running all over us, because frankly there wasn't much to say. They were outplaying us. But you bet your arse I let them have it at the end of that game until they left.

Wisconsin also uses the Tavern, but it's normally never a big deal. We usually play at different times, and when we do, it's a 3 story bar so lsu gets the main floor and they get put somewhere else. It's just when we played each other that they decided to put us all in one location. Bad call imo.

Now that you mention, I think I saw Wisconsin fans there the time I went.

I was last there for the 2013 aTm vs LSU game. Awesome atmosphere. Lots of angry aggies. We also had a good little crowd for the College World Series at Baseball Tavern. It's a hike for me, living out in Wooostah, but worth it. Definitely check out the May Crawfish Boil.

Welcome.

Just passed my 2 year mark last month. Brace yourself for winter, but other than that, Boston is an incredible place to live. Come by the Baseball Tavern for a game, Guava and I will be there.

very cool. I moved here in 2008 from Valpo, Indiana. I've had a few bad winters, but it's a great place.

If that flames out, you might consider contacting the mothership alumni association. They might be able to hook you up with everything except transportation from Boston/NE out to New York. That's what we're doing. Staying at Turning Stone, which looks decent.
