Glad to see you refer to yourself as a ULL fan. It is a constant jab to all for you to speak of yourself as UL. or University of Louisiana. It seems to me to be a legal way of taking something that is not yours. There is a history regarding the UNIVERSITY OF LOUISIANA and it has nothing to do with ULL.

Some days I wish ULM would change its mind and go back to NLU, because then ULL would have to change its name away from UL as well. The law as I read it says that in order for USL to become ULL, someone has to join them in calling themselves UL#. NLU was the partner in that and has done it right, but USL doesnt.
I like to jab at my Lafghanistan friends since they call themselves Louisiana Ragin Cajuns, then I call our friends from Monroe, Louisiana Warhawks.

Well, the point could be made that they are, in fact, doing the exact same thing to every other "small school" in the state that they are accusing LSU fans of doing. Shitting on programs that are not to their "level".

ULM has worked hard at attempting to be known nationally as ULM. It has the local fish wrap and local tv refer to them that way and not Louisiana or Louisiana-Monroe. This follows the law. Ull has instructed its paper and attempted to ESPN and other news organizations to recognize them as LOUISIANA. An attempt at a name change by repetition.

LSU has the numbers, but Cajun fans have the volume in this matter. Just like that jackass in the stands at South Carolina last night. He was outnumbered, but went out of his way to be heard. That's how most Cajun fans are, as evidenced by the random tweet.

When one starts out with the above which is pretty much "shiting on" other state schools or at the very lease throwing your success in other state schools face, you get the reaction you were seeking. Complaining bout that reaction is more than a tad "lame" as well.

I find it rather odd that fans of UL@L who, from my experience, shite on UL@M, La. Tech, and McNeese on a regular basis, are for some reason suddenly insulted when UL@L is shite on.
I know a number of UL@L guys. I know they suffered a long time with their football program and I am happy for them due to their recent success, but the lack of good sportsmanship doesn't flow in just one direction, imo

I don't know that I agree with this. LSU fans are constantly listed near the top on national lists for most arrogant douchebag fans. LSU fans do talk mammoth amounts of shite to everyone. It's why everyone in the SEC hates LSU. Ole Miss, A&M, Auburn, Bama, etc.
Now on the flip side it's this same arrogance and obnoxious nature that makes LSU fans great. It's that reason that Tiger Stadium is such a nightmare to play in for opponents. It's the reason Alex Box has this way of making opponents play worse. But let's not pretend that LSU fans have this small minority of idiots in the fan base.

Of course we talk down to those schools. We recruit against them. We have to make ourselves look better than them because we compete for the same recruits which is why I said that tweet was directed at them not LSU. Recruits live on twitter and if it's a ULM ULL battle for an in state kid, maybe that tweet helps in a way.

I didn't even mention this. There are 9 schools in the University of Louisiana System and none of the others try to pull that shite.
But I'm sure it's just a quirk rather than an active attempt to craft a history that they didn't actually have.
Also, its worth mentioning that the success of ULL and LSU as universities (sports aside) are not positively correlated. That's one of the big reasons why ULL does what they do.
Maybe using my Facebook feed as evidence is folly, but ULL fans are the only ones who ever talk shite about LSU as a university and a sports program consistently. "WE'RE THE UNIVERSITY OF LOUISIANA." And then when they get smacked, they pull the "Oh, lil' ol' me? Why you so obsessed with our piddling, insignificant athletic program?" Its nice to have it both ways.

If your coaching staff hasn't mentioned your bowl success to these recruits already a number of times, shame on them.
Look, I have no problem with either tweet. Both are correct. I have no problem with UL@L lording it over La. Tech. I am sure Tech did the same to you when they were invited to join the CUSA. Some fans "shite" on other teams any chance they get...that's life in the sports world.
As to other SEC teams hating LSU, all teams in the SEC hate other teams in the SEC. If you think State and Miss. and Aub. fans don't hate Bama as much as they hate LSU, you are nuts.

BTW: I had some business in LFT last week and had to got to USL. I noticed UL, not UL-L was everywhere I went, granted, only two buildings, but it stood out.
