Great comeback. ULL definitely deserved to be slapped down for a random Friday post in the middle of the offseason. Obviously, the Cajuns' goals aren't set very high. Goobers.

I honestly think most Cajun fans directed this towards LA Tech, Tulane, etc. We know we aren't LSU.

I don't find it naive at all. Most of the Cajun fans who hate LSU do have a reason. What is that reason? They know LSU is bigger and has had more success. So even the fans who hate LSU know that we aren't LSU. That's basically the reason they dislike LSU so much.

Why does it bother you so much that ULL enjoys any success whatsoever? As I said, no one thinks ULL is anywhere near the program LSU is so why does it bother you when the Cajuns celebrate their successes? Nobody honestly would trade the position LSU is in for NOla Bowl wins. But all things considered, LSU fans do shoulder some of the blame for the ULL hate. Pretty much every school in the state has parts of the fan base that don't like LSU because no matter who it is, ULL ULM, Tulane, etc, LSU fans feel the need to shite on everyone elses successes.

I'll be honest: we are an eminently hateable fanbase, and we earn it. But ULL fans are like LSU fans without the success.

You made my point though. No wonder ULL fans dislike LSU. That's what bothers me about LSU fans. They'll shite on ULL (and everyone else) and then can't figure out why other school in state hate LSU.
No doubt ULL has its fair share of idiots, but I just never felt like LSU needed to prove anything to anyone in state and shiting on the smaller schools everytime they succeed seems pretty lame.

Alma maters/schools attended aside...I'm from the Thibodaux area. I pull for Nicholls as does most people from the area. Buuuut, 90% of people from Thibodaux consider themselves LSU fans first, Nicholls fans 2nd. Why can't Lafayette people enjoy the successes of both? The 2 programs in all major sports are like apples & oranges(bigass steroid oranges). Pull for both. I would if it wasn't for the hatred that comes from laffy. I pull for every other school in the state sans Tulane
