Bleacher Reports' "experts" Predictions on LSU's Upcoming Season
Posted on 8/14/15 at 5:22 pm
Posted on 8/14/15 at 5:22 pm
Barrett: 8-4
Fielder: 7-5
Kramer: 8-4
They all sounded like a bunch of dumbasses, the only one who didn't totally bash LSU was Barrett. I really hope this team shows up and silences all those who doubted us this upcoming year. I truly believe we have a special team and as long as Brandon Harris shows up and plays above average, I don't see a team we can't beat.
ETA: I know it's BR but I got a little rustled hearing that
Fielder: 7-5
Kramer: 8-4

Wait, Barrett Sallee said LSU would be mediocre? No way! Im surprised he picked us to win that many games.

Good predictions only if AJ is not a solid backup
Posted on 8/14/15 at 5:34 pm to BugaPainTrain7
I can't stand seeing 7 or 8 wins from "experts". They don't know shite. Last year's team should've beat Bama and ND which would've given us a 10 win season. Offense will surely improve and defense will be dominant as usual. No way this LSU team gets 7 or 8 regular season wins, especially two seasons in a row. No way in hell. This season can't come fast enough to prove all the haters wrong. Geaux Tigers.

I love how I think Michael(?) said they'll go 7-5 because they just aren't a good team he's trying to stir up the comment section. Honestly I have heard 7-5 predictions, but Michael just sounds like an insufferable jackk arse

Yeah I know he was being a doucher

Barrett salle is joke at times and I was surprised by felder. They are not giving us any respect but it's ok. He has us losing to Miss State and he said it like it was an easy statement game for them. I believe they are in for a big surprise

No offense, and I feel the same way many of you do about the BAMA and ND games, but it's illogical to say well we should have won and we would have been 10-3. Well technically we should have won X game if we would have scored more points than X team. Doesn't work like that. While LSU is loaded with talent it doesn't necessarily amount to great results. Pundits are going after the one position that matters. In recent years the QB spot at LSU hasn't been a positive or negative. Most of the time it was irrelevant because it was average. Last year the QBs actually hurt the team. We have the same QBs. Yes, they mature and learn, hence why most of the predictions are about what we went last year +\- a game.
They're going off evidence. Yes. LSU has loads of talent. Doesn't necessarily mean just turn around to a 10+ season. We're essentially Georgia. Great talent for the most part across the board. Always shite the bed somewhere down the line. If the QB position was clearer I promise you they would change. All the writers have pretty much said LSU is a QB away from a serious playoff run.
I just say let LF direct snap. Screw it. Actually put Donte as QB with LF as HB with Chi acting as a Percy Harvin and go crazy. Just speed. Teach him to throw 20 yards. $

I think those are fair predictions and it all hinges on how good the defense really is and how much development we see from QBs. I don't see why that's some crazy predictions up there. Did you not watch LSU last year?
Posted on 8/14/15 at 6:20 pm to BugaPainTrain7
This season is such a crap shoot. I can see us going 10-2 just as easily as I can see us going 6-6.
I think 8-4 sounds reasonable given the circumstances of the state of the program today.

This would be unacceptable. In my opinion, I wouldn't be happy with even only 2 losses.

I wasn't familiar with any of those guys until I heard Felder on the radio yesterday say he doesn't even know how LSU is starting in the top 25. I had to do a search to see if this arse clown was serious and make sure I never read any of his work.

Stop what? He's right, this year could easily go very well and just as easily go very badly. We are unproven it is what it is.

TL; DR B/R is terrible at predictions, Auburn is 2014 South Carolina, Harris is going to make us super explosive on offense.
They are terrible prediction people. i say this every time B/R gets brought up. Now they are good with their recruiting stuff, news in general, and stuff to pass the time, but don't look for sound reasoning on rankings and predictions.
You should see the ones for TAMU, UGA, Ole Miss, Bama, and the ridiculousness of Auburn.
Bama two 10-2, one 9-3
TAMU 10-2, 6-6
UGA two 8-4 one 9-3
Ole Miss two 10-2
Auburn two 13-0, one 12-1
Ole Miss - with no run game, a QB that hasn't played, mediocre OL (terrible OL without Tunsil) and a weakened secondary, 10-2.
TAMU - no run game, no defense (please they don't have the talent yet to make that big of a leap), has yet to have a passing game good enough to beat us even with Tannehill and Manziel, 10-2.
UGA - dominant run game (best RB in CFB), dominant OL, typical good passing game no matter who you put back there, possibly the best LB crew in the country, 8-4.
Auburn - QB who looked good against scrubs and at home against a bad Arky secondary in the first half of the first game of the season. Ran the ball for -7 last year and 47 yards the year before on 7 carries (compared to 41 pass attempts). How will he impact the effectiveness of the run game and option, when he is not as dynamic as Marshall? LSU can handle mobile QBs just fine, it's the true dual threats that give us fits (outside of Manziel). Lawson could comeback and make an impact (we don't know yet), Cowart could make a big impact (we don't know yet). Sounds a lot like LSU at DE doesn't it? Their secondary is garbage, don't let our game against them last year fool you. They are hoping on a ton of transfers, freshman, and Muschamp creating some kind of miracle. They finish 13-0, seriously? These eerily reminds me of the retarded South Carolina hype last year before the season.
LSU - typical LSU defense that has finished no worse than 32nd (2008) in Miles career and has finished top 15 for 9 of those 10 years. Top 3 Secondary in the country, Coach O on DL, Steele on LB, talent and experience abound (outside of DEs). We won 8 regular season games with 2 QBs getting their first true playing time, a true freshman RB, 3 freshman WR, and the #1 WR being the most experienced with 8 catches prior to 2014. We go 8-4 again even though outside of DE, no position is a net loss.
IMO Harris goes on a rampage at MSU then at home against Auburn. Both secondaries are garbage and neither has a pass rush to speak of yet, just like us. Watch and see what happens. Harris is going to be throwing bombs and backing those safeties the f**k off the line. Fournette, Williams, Guice, etc, will take full advantage of that. I've watched several videos today of our QBs from last year, and we threw the ball deep A LOT, with both of them. Mett threw the ball deep a lot. I mean he had 10.4 yards per attempt, that would rank #1 in the country almost every single year.

He is . He said UGA will lose to Bama and Auburn like it was an automatic fact. The comment section killed him on that. LSU will lose 5 games because the QB will be bad, what? Why? Give reasons why? Auburn will go 13-0 because Jeremy Johnson, WTF? All of them are bad and they give almost zero analysis into their reasonings.

Why do you get so pissy when someone in the media doesn't agree with what record LSU will have at the end of the year???? Do you write a mag??? Are you on some network that people should ONLY listen to you????
BTW LSU was two VERY VERY close wins rom being 6-6...Unlike YOU other people look at stuff like this... We have ZERO clue how good Harris will be... YOU included.......
