Armstead and Ramscyk are pretty good.

Reading that thread, a couple things stuck out.

1. Is this game being played in 2018? because almost every point is about the 2018 team with no mention that we have improved at literally every position group since last year and not much mentioned that UT lost 8 starters on defense.

2. Such a contrast when reading other team's boards. All civil and stuff. Buncha nerds.

3. they are really hanging their hat on that Sugar bowl win as an indicator. A bowl game. from last year. with a huge difference in motivation. As if UT played that well all year.

Apparently we “needed” 4 turnovers to win a game 36-16 but I guess Their 10 points off of turnovers weren't needed in their 28-21 game.

Pretty much everyone can see that our OL is awful. I don't think we turn the corner until something changes on the offensive line.

Does he realize that there are maybe 5 teams in college football who’s tackles don’t “suck”. OLT is probably THE most demanding position in the game and very few have the physical build and football IQ to play it well. That’s why they are so highly paid in the NFL.
A good OLT can make an average QB look good.

If LSU is going to have a breakout year then the score is going to look something like 35-10. A 24-21 style slugfest does not bode well for this season.

I don't care if we win 2-0, a win against a top 10 team in their house is just that, a win. I don't think it has anything to do with the rest of the season because each game is different. Styles make games. We could look shaky against Texas early in the year but then hit our stride midway through. LSU is usually peaking at the right time.

People also seem to completely forget that LSU beat the dogshit out of a very locked in UGA team in October.

Anthony Bradford measured in at 6’7 355... I know he’s a freshman but any chance he starts at RT?

Yes and we should too. Their Oline is legit. Their Edge rushers are legit. Talented backs and a very good qb. They are young on D but very talented. Anyone who watched the UGA bowl win Should have earned some respect for them. I don’t wanna hear the “UGa was disinterested” crap. It’s Texas n a NY6 so they wanted that win. Bottom line is UGA was outplayed and outcoached. And Oklahoma was pretty damn good and UT split with them as well

Did that guy in that Texas forum last post just say Texas would hold LSU to 13-17 points or I read that wrong ?

Not sure but they said Texas would put up 40 points on LSU’s defense. I never laughed so hard

Surprising, as cu.nts they are defined by their warmth and depth.

How did LSU’s offense do in the red zone against Georgia? At home, mind you.

I think you have a legit chance vs LSU. But they are unlike the rest of your schedule. Don't tell my fellow Aggies but I'm not pulling for LSU. I love to hate Texas, but I truly hate LSU. I wouldn't ever say I'm pulling for Texas, but I hope LSU does not win this or any other game. We recruit against both schools, and Texas fans are less shitty than LSU fans. (This is a compliment by the way)

Saints have also had weak tackles relative to the interior of their line. This offense is tailor made for our O-line.

Not a fair comparison. Drew Brees is one of the most accurate, cerebral quarterbacks to ever play the game.

It's not the worst breakdown I've seen

That was an EXCELLENT breakdown. One of the best by a fan I’ve seen in a long time. They definitely analyzed our offense as though it will be unchanged, but what else would they do? Anyway, a lot of LSU fans are assuming our offense will run like a finely tuned engine. THAT’s delusional.

I think our offense will look very bad because it’s new. Receivers will make bad reads, backs will fail to pick up blitzes, that sort of thing. This, and home field advantage, will come close to neutralizing LSU’s big advantage - experience. LSU has way more returning starters and overall more talent. That will be hard for Texas to overcome. And the fact that LSU can run out about 8 defensive linemen will make it hard for Texas to exploit their one chance on offense - wearing out our defensive line.

I have LSU winning this one in a fairly close game, but not a cliffhanger.

I don’t think it’s as much as LSU offense being new. I see it as more about how much Texas has to replace on defense and by game 2 of the season I don’t see them having the experience on that side of the ball to hold LSU enough. I think there defense will be more prone to making more mistakes than LSU will be defensively. I think LSU offense is good enough to take advantage of those mistakes regardless how new the offense is. But who knows will see come September 7th.

Reasonable banter over there. I’m surprised.

That said, they do fail to understand what LSU did to UGA as well. With UGA ramped up.

Their oline scouting is actually pretty accurate but they underestimate the depth chart and stamina on the D.

I like LSU 38-24.
