When next year gets here and the QB whoever it is plays decent and we win all our games leading up to the Alabama game all on here will be eating crow. We honih to be either in playoff or right outside come next December. Life wil be back to normal. Geaux Tigers. Now people step away from LSU football. Till the spring game y'all will live longer if you do.

I generally dont have a problem with the goofy shite he says, but this clearly is him trying to get heat off his arse. Its this instance be should keep his mouth shut.

Oh really

Yeah really. He has to take to the coaching though. Think about Baylor's offense. They have these 3 star QBs (Griffin was a 4 star, but only went to Baylor because Texas recruited him as a DB), yet still are consistent year to year.

Just using the last 4 years where they have been relevant with the new offense

Passing only

2011
RG3 4 star 5th ranked dual threat 253rd player in country - 72.4% 4293 yards 10.7 ypa 37 TDs 6 ints

2012
Nick Florence 3 star 11th ranked dual threat 622nd player in country - 61.6% 4309 yards 9.3 ypa 33 TDs 13 ints

2013
Bryce Petty 3 star 29th ranked pro style 802nd player in the country - 62% 4200 yards 32 TDs 3 ints

2014 in only 12 and a half games (he was hurt in one and missed another)
Bryce Petty - 63% 3855 yards 9.0 ypa 29 TDs 7 ints

Oh yeah and the one pro style QB in Petty, has 300 rushing yards and 20 rushing TDs over the last two years.

Look at that. Not a lick of drop off. So if guys less talented than Harris can succeed year after year, why not Harris? Look I know all of these guys were in their 3rd and fourth years as well. I'm not expecting Harris to be that damn good next year. I just what decent passing.

Let's start here. Mett threw it 352 times in 2012. He throws for 2600 yards and 12 TDs on 58.8% at 7.4 ypa. This was before Cam's system. If our QB is competent passing the ball, his yards per attempt should never be below 9.0 because of the downfield system Cam likes to utilize. So a simple 60% completion on 325 passes at 8.5 ypa with at least 20 TD passes should be doable correct? I mean, we bring everybody back at WR plus Smith, plus Fournette, plus Guice who they have catching passes at the Army AA game. That's not asking too much in this day and age right?

At least all the other good coaches out there know that Les is on the hot seat.

Even if the "decision time" is after a lot of other schools fire their coach, they know that the coaching search will be on at LSU.

Say Holgorson gets fired, at least we know that the best available guy won't go to Couch Fire U if he knows that the LSU position will open.

If this is Miles' last ditch effort, it was a lil too late. But the word is out.

Expect him to go balls to the wall again, coaching for his job.

Can you think of a good reason or selling point as to why a good JUCO QB would want to waste his future career in Miles' fiasco of an offensive scheme.

He's played football all of four years. Every scout called him extremely raw. He's also 6'3 less than 190lbs and doesn't know the playbook.

Nobody has talked down the things said about him bring immature and not working hard in practice. Some are adding that he hasn't gotten the playbook yet.

Those are all easy reasons as to why he hasn't play more. Some of it is stupid, but it is what it is. Even the media (all LSU media) is running with the fact that he's not doing what he is supposed to be doing.

Like I said, the guy has the talent. You don't get rated as the #4 dual threat after one year of playing football. He rose as high as #3 dual threat and 70 something in the country. I said he'd need two years of practice and learning back when we were recruiting him, so I never had expectations of him playing year one in the first place.

there is a time to say things & not say things, this is a time for miles to keep his mouth shut. it is a smarta$$ comment to the fans & he knows it. after 1 decent year since 07 for qb play, now he says this? I think he knows he is coaching for his job next year.

I dont think hes very good but he was never able to get in a rhythm only throwing 15-20 passes a game.
