re: BIG TALK: Miles says QB must throw for 250 yards/game

This is pissing me off.
If you gave up on the season, why not let both QB's get plenty of experience?
Hell, even if you didn't why not?
Not getting experience for Mett in 2011 clearly affected him in 2012.
dude needs to go away. he's squandering LSU's football future.

Miles is just like a politician. Tell the people what they want to hear.

Well, this should at least put to rest the notion that Miles is satisfied with the 2014 performance at the QB position.
One problem appears to be that Miles and Cameron don't believe Harris is ready to step on the filed against SEC competition.
I mean this as in "If he steps on the field, we will get annihilated and the young man may very well suffer serious injury due to his lack of understanding of what is happening on the field at a given moment."
That's scary on a couple levels, including the probability that, at this point, Harris presents NO alternative whatsoever to Jennings.
I'm still hoping we'll sign a JUCO who gives us some hope of not repeating the QB problems we has in 2014.

BLAH BLAH BLAH Miles....we have heard this song and dance before.....save the crap for people who believe it. NOTHING is going to change

I think he means for the season

The quarterback that comes out of spring will either be one of the two guys.
Tidbit from this statement: there will be no one else competing for the job. No incoming transfers, freshmen, Juco's, Krags or anyone else. I don't know why the other guys remain on the team (if they have any aspirations of playing in college), or why anyone worth a shite would come here next year as a recruit. I hope Harris is the real deal, because he's all we've got for the next 2-3 years.

Why 31 attempts? Such a random number
Posted on 1/1/15 at 1:27 pm to tigertracts
Guys he says he "expects" This is to trick us with the hope of a good offense when this is just a smokescreen to keep attention on LSU during the offseason and to keep the WR prospects coming in

1 game. This is the same stuff he talked after 2011 (back then he wasn't as specific, he said 200-250 ypg). Mett went for like 200 in 2012, then up to 250 last yr.
Les wants to throw the ball better, I just think he reins it in too far if the passing game looks shaky. Hopefully Harris rises to the occasion and works his arse off this offseason. I have no faith in Jennings to be a competent passer on a consistent basis.

Jennings is incapable of doing that.

We can only hope this is one of those very, very rare instances in which Miles is being less than 100% candid in sharing his thoughts!

After a month of practice Jennings still can't throw worth a shite, but we can run that fumble rooski and jet sweep tho.

jennings will start but Les can't have Harris transfer so he has to say the competition is open.

I cannot remember the last time a coach came out and said the back up will play and it didn't happen. shite they benched Cutler's arse and they are paying that mother fricker! But your are Miles's defense attorney on this fricking board so I understand how he can do no wrong in your eyes.
