Harris has the talent to. Also Mett only threw the ball 296 times. He threw it 352 times the year prior. At his insane 10.4 ypa he was getting in 2013, that would have equaled 3660.8 pass yards or 281.6 ypg in 13 games. That is good for 23rd in the country, and if you are asking for any more than that, you are just a greedy bastard.

Les Miles has coached 132 games at LSU. We have had a 250 yard passer in 23 of those games (just over 17%). I'll believe it when I see it.

Maybe indicating for Harris to step it up because we all know Jennings has been incapable of throwing anywhere close to 250

I'm just tired of all of Miles' nonsense. Pay him no attention.

That's an attempt to get fan base off his back during off season. Anyone who judges Les on his words after the last decade is a fool.

I'd be surprised if our passing yardage per game (excluding OOC) approached 170.

If they can average 170 in the air in conference, with our running game, they will win the National Championship.

So he says, but as he's proven, time and time again he's a liar. It really is a bad combo: stubborn, incompetent AND a dishonest.

Mett was a 5th year player with, as you said, 2 of our best ever WR's so it will be very tough. But Harris has a similar arm with more mobility than Mett, and the receiving core is exceptionally talented yet unproven.

The potential is there for something close to this, which, with the running game we will have should be enough to show huge offensive improvement and win 2-3 more games than we did this year.

This of course assumes the defense does not regress now that Chavis is gone.

It won't happen. Reasons:
1) It's coming out of Les's mouth. He said Harris could see some meaningful snaps over the last 3 games.
2) Leonard Fournette. You would have to be an idiot not to give this kid the ball 20 times a game! Of course he only carried it 11 times against ND and only 3 times after running 89 yards for a TD. Les promptly brings Kenny Hilliard off the bench the next series after the 89 yard romp. I guess Leonard got tired from running in all that open field?
3) Do we have the QB and receivers capable of that? Based on the body evidence that was this season the answer is no.

He really just has no idea. We can have a QB throw for 250 every game, and still lose.

Take what the defense gives you Les. Stop the square peg round hole philosophy. Formation teams and play to your strengths. Spread the field and hand it off to Fournette vs. 6 man boxes.

He just has no clue about modern offensive football.

He is talking about what he wants form a QB. It will never hurt a team to have a QB throw for 250 yards with a good compilation percentage.

Its not what you are saying is wrong, but it isn't what he is talking about.
