There wasn't really any other option for the cardinals, except for trading down

right, so why wouldn't they have traded down if they thought he was damaged goods and soft?

ap was considered very injury prone going into the draft and he's the best back in the nfl right now. (i realize ap =/= beanie)

Why are you assuming that the Cardinals made a good choice in picking him?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he get hurt in the first practice?

Scott will be the better back unless Keiland learns how to run harder.

So he'll run a 4.37 40 at the combine like Addai?

You need two teams in order to trade down, and the 31st pick in a weak draft isn't appealing at all

and Petersons injuries in college were mostly flukes...breaking your collarbone diving into the endzone is a fluke

i don't care if both beanies knees explode the first time he takes a snap in a real game, nor am i assuming he was a good choice.

right, the cardinals settled for beanie wells cause they couldn't trade their pick. they took him cause there was no one else on the board they wanted. hb was their only need position and they had no choice but to take beanie.

Anybody's guess. Scott will most likely look more impressive in the college game (mostly because he seems to be getting most of the reps), but both have the tools necessary to be impressive in the pros (different sets of tools, but both effective). The difference will be in things you can't see from the stands (or the television) in the college game, like adjusting to the next level, injuries, stamina in a 16+ game season, etc. Right now it would be a coin toss, imo.

ETA: Also, where they are drafted will play a huge role as well. If one goes to Indiannapolis or New England, and the other goes to Houston or Oakland, it might seriously impact who has the "better" pro career.

I saw KW run much better between the Tackles the last half of last year. That could be a good sign for this year. To be a pro he will have to run north and south and hit the hole hard and quickly.

You do realize he's 235 pounds, right?

Make me a list of 235 RBs in the league.

Lendale White is one. What would you call him?
