Pastime Lounge

Loved that place on football Saturdays. Shrimp pizza and beer in those teeny glasses.

Sammy's is the go to place for me on game day the last 5 or so years. In fact, I try to eat there whenever I am in town. Years ago it was Mike Anderson's but haven't been there in a long time.

depends on the situation...

if I have time and am coming from the west, I really like Not Yo Momma's Tavern...

if I am coming from North, I typically hit Parrains...

If I have someone with me who enjoys looking at LSU stuff, I'll sometimes hit TJ Ribs...

Best restaurant to eat on game day???? by ZephyriusIt's a shame that mexican place that was next to Chimes went to complete shite(food and drink)... Closed now but you could get a nice meal and marguarite a couple of years before that.

What was the name of that place? I was trying to think of it last week.

Shrimp Po-Boy or Pizza at Pastime. Many an hour spent there in the old days with good friends and not-so-good friends. Get away from BR or NO and a real po-boy is nonexistent. Enjoy it when you can.

I think its been mentioned already but it used to be Serrano's. Now it is Barcadia, drinks video game arcade machines, and pretty good "gourmet style" menu. I believe I remember thinking the food was a little pricy for what it was but, that was more because it was incongruous with the atmosphere in the place. In and of itself the food was excellent

Louie's has a really great vegetarian sandwich called the "Louise". If you get it on rye it has a nice pickles quality to it. She can take off the cheese if she is vegan.

Another solid place for vegetarian fare is Chelsea's under the overpass. They are locally famous for their grilled cheese sandwich, but they have about 5-8 vegetarian/vegan options as well. The fried green tomatoes are slammin. They have a solid bar and about 18 brews on tap as well.

mellow mushroom or Rotolo's are decent options if you are looking for pizza within hiking distance of the stadium.

Enjoy the game, and thank you for your service
