Well you should still support the Lions as much if not more. Last time I checked they had respectable programs, especially baseball. No reason not to follow both I would assume. Like the poster SLUtiger

What's funny is that the 30-30 Shaq/Dale was on when I started this thread and it gave me a sick feeling. All that talent and what I remember most about that time was the comments which were quoted by B Knight after the LSU-Indiana game. Down by ~6 with little time on the clock and he gets inspired when he looks at who's coaching on the other bench. That was a WTF moment for me.
How in the world does a coach lose a game with CJ & Shaq...and Stanley. I've never felt as confident as when CJ would take a shot from anywhere on the court or when Shaq received the ball within 5' of the goal. I can't even accept that GT should have won with 3's because we should have guarded the perimeter with a guy like Shaq protecting the rim. HOF...maybe as a recruiter.

Really? Brown was a 10 seed playing a 1 seed Indiana off their feet in the elite 8. Knight's stupid arse should have been ejected at the 10 minute mark of the 1st half for slamming the phone. The refs swallowed the whistle for the whole game because Knight intimated them. It was truly one of the great screw jobs in LSU basketball history.

No, Brown is a HOF coach and was elected into the HOF because he was good. If you doubt that, ask yourself why nobody at LSU has come close to his success before or after him. From 78 to 1993 , he basically went .500 against Kentucky. If you think that's not a big deal, compare Brown's LSU hoops budget to the Big Blue K budget. The guy was damn good. It sucks that a few LSU fans like yourself don't understand that.

Brown was fantastic for the most part. He was bad as an in-game coach in terms of strategy, mainly on the offensive end, of course. But as I've said before, that's only a small part of being a college basketball coach.
Dude got players to LSU, and they played hard for him. Dale had great relationships with most of his players. Amazing motivator, got his guys to defend. And he got results. It's pretty damn hard to take 4 teams to the Elite Eight at a school like LSU.
