I think LSU does it about as fairly as you can....and I didn't make the cutoff.

I would agree...however, I wish that Tradition Fund donations played a role in the ranking, instead of just donations to TAF.

Skank for the 2007 Sugar Bowl against ND, we could almost change the lightbulbs on the scoreboard but HEY ... I was THERE!

There are no BAD seats ... some are just BETTER than others as my friend (who has awesome seats in TS) always says.

Tradition fund donations count in the rankings.....

The only thing tradition fund donations are exempt from is your philanthropic ranking, which is only used in determining new season tickets/upgrades.

What is a ballpark number of points for the cutoff rank?

Has anyone received an email confirming they got tickets? My ranking is just over 1200, so I should be getting two. Haven't gotten an email yet.

8500 wasnt getting me SEC seats.....much less BCSNC

Hey, I'm there with you. I got the philantrophic and priority rankings confused. Long story short, I will be watching it in my den and envying those who got to go. I am not paying beyond face value just to be in the cheap seats.

thanks.

Looks like I could donate $10K to a 2/$1000 TAF fund raiser and get 20 points.... that would boost me to be well withing the number needed.

I'll have 15 points in 2012 at the rate I'm going.... I'm a LONG way from qualifying for tickets.... oh well - I usually buy them game by game for less than the total cost of owning them through TAF is anyway.... but it does shut me out of the ticket allocation for bowls, etc.

If I inherited some money or had a huge windfall in the stock market, etc. --- I'd consider making that donation.

I wonder how these "planned giving" things work --- i.e. -- I buy a Life Insurance policy on myself and designate TAF as the beneficiary... say for $100K --- when do I get the points in account?

Seriously... If you got the points "at death" --- buy a policy on an older relative, have the beneficiary designated as TAF and Ole gramps or "uncle joe" kicks the bucket... make sure YOU are designated in the will as the recipient of the TAF Priority Points.

I doubt that policy would cost $10,000 - but I guess it could.... difference being the $10K to TAF would get you 10 or 20 points... the $100K policy would get you 100 or 200 points...

Just a thought....

The email I received doesn't show where the tickets are located.

My Priority Point Rank: 3935

Cutoff: 4057

Two cheap seats for me. Unfortunately already blew some big bucks on seats before the Arkansas game, hopefully I can make some back from these...

You can view your seat locations by logging in to your online account at LSUtix.net, going to "My Account" and clicking on "View My Order History."
