It's fricking November. Basketball. November. Without Victor and Hornsby. Leading scoring through 3 games cold as ice.

This isn't football, losing a game in November means nothing. Basketball doesn't even really start until January. This is all a warm up.

Those three possessions in a row where we ran our offense through Epps made me HIV positive.

You know, I just took that loss very hard, and I was actually sitting on the floor as it ended. I actually thought (for some idiotic reason) id come to this board and see something positive...HA!

Few thoughts for you idiots. We are missing 40% of our starting lineup. People don't realize how quality Victor is. It will make an extreme difference. Sampson took some Freshman 3's tonight, but Hornsby will come back and it'll be great.

Also. We struggled all night. Just from every standpoint, just didn't really have it...yet fought our asses off the entire game. People who think this team sucks are mistaken. They didn't have Ellison to start the year, and he may be their best player. Their record is not indicative of their potential.

I'm sooooo sick of the shite about Johnny not calling timeouts. It's called coaching philosophy. You have Ben Simmons, let him get it and do his thing. Ben fricked up, should have shot it. It's a learning experience!!!! We have a young team without Hornsby out there. The best play in our arsenal is Iso for Ben. Why do we need a timeout for that? People forget that it gives the defense a chance to set up as well.

Wojo called a timeout for a pick and roll and they got bailed out on a foul. It's essentially the same thing as Ben Iso, but he doesn't need a screen.

We have a very good team that come February and March we will be terrifying. I'm glad everyone is getting off the damn train right now. It was getting crowded on there

I had a feeling poor rebounding would be a factor in this game.

You'll see the same problems in late April that you saw tonight.

Trends. The bad trends are still present. This team does not have the inside presence at this point imo to challenge for the sec much less an ncaa title. But I haven't seen victor play and I don't know how good Hornsby will be when he comes back. But this is certain. It's now or never because Ben will only be here one year.

Major concern is STILL free throws. Its a damn shame we can't fix that. It cost us tonight and will continue to until we improve there.

Major concern is rebounding.

And not have your top scorer go ice cold.

LSU shot better FT% than Marq.

Why didn't JJ call a T.O to set the last possession up?

We need to break last year's record for fewest timeouts used.

Brother, I was getting into that game

It's ignorant to judge our whole season off this game. Elbert played but is probably 80%. Victor playing 25 mins with Elbert and Epps getting 15 total will greatly impact our inside presence.

Yea, it sucks to lose on the big stage, but when at full capacity, we'll be ok.

Dropping a game like this isn't bad.
Marquette was solid tonight and 2 of our freshman struggled. It's all learning.
Ben will learn as well.
ER3 being 100% would have helped.
Hornsby being out is huge , but does get Sampson some experience.
If only Bridge had his brothers height.

This team will be alright.

Total agree with this.

This was a great coaching moment for this team. I hate this loss. However, they stayed in it and took the lead right at the end. Like they said after the game, Simmons won't pass that ball twice again on that last play for the win...he'll score.

When victor and Hornsby come back...watch out #fingerscrossed

Just finished watching the game:

Simmons and Quarterman iso are LSU's offense. Otherwise there is no discernible plan

Simmons pulled a Lebron at the end. Absolutely dominant all game but deferred at the end.

This team is going to struggle if they can't make 3's. That's their equalizer. They need Hornsby back. He was a rock of consistency

They desperately need Victor. Epps has the size, but not the desire to battle down low. ER3 is huge but slow. Bridgewater is the most skilled post player (outside of Simmons) but just too short. Malone is literally useless.

They'll have nights where they shoot it better from deep.

As much as they want to be aggressive, the guards have got to keep people in front of them. There's no Mickey to clean up the mistakes and they just aren't good enough inside to allow people in the lane at will

Does Johnny Jones do anything on critical possessions? He he is the most uninvolved in-game coach I've ever seen.
