If they play Party in the USA at any point in Tiger Stadium, I really believe that I would never enter the place again….or I would at the very least try to find someone in the press box whose arse I could try to kick who is responsible for this.

It has been played before. It was a couple of years ago while the players were on the field warming up. The sorority girls were loving it. I didn't even know it was a Miley Cyrus song until elementary aged kid told me what the song was.

Wow, a lot of people still think the game is about them. Whatever the players want, they'll get. It pumps them up every kickoff when they play it, so I say play it as much as possible, even if it's a terrible song.

The players want a 3-4 year old terrible rap song? A song that is probably on ZERO of their play lists.

Yes, they love it. I personally hate the song, but if you see the LSU sidelines after a big LSU score they're going nuts as well as some of the coaches.

Any song that starts with that B word...sorry...gives LA a very negative perception.

I just don't see how anyone can not say it is an objectively terrible song. I don't mind the piped in stuff in doses. Hell I really like when they play "Mobbin" by Grandtheft. But this song just is just awful

WE CALL IT DA BOOT

No. No we don't.

You can try and play semtaics all you want but anyone with eyes, relatively decent vision and a ticket to the game can watch the sidelines and look at the players reaction when the song is played.

It's just like Neck for the fans....it makes THOUSANDS of people stand up and get excited when moments before their actions were probably much different and NOT ONE single person is jamming Cameo on the way home.

The damn head coach joked about the song in a post game press conference LINK

If you want to pretend it has NOTHING to do with the song you're doing nothing but contributing to your own ignorance.

Noted. Thanks. Doesn't change the fact that this song you love so much is shitty and overplayed at the games.

That song it awesome and they should always play it! Emcee definitely wasnt at the Ole Miss game to see how pumped the stadium got after we scored our TD and they played that song befpre the kickoff. That place was rocking.

I hate that song now. If you were at the state game, when they played it, the state players and sideline were the ones jumping up and down while our players looked like they just got gang raped. That song was played out last year. It just needs to stop.

Can you music aficionados please inform me about the quality of music found in such classics as "We Will Rock You", "Who Let the Dogs Out", "Blitzkreig Pop", "The Final Countdown", "Get Ready for This", "YMCA"?

I think they could have played Miley Cyrus' "Party in the USA" at that point and the entire stadium would have been shaking their hips like "yeah".

Acting like that ISN'T your jam.

It isn't JUST the song, but saying it has NOTHING to do with the song is just ignorant. It does't take much observation to see that their is a different reaction by just about everyone when certain songs are played (Neck, B*#ch, I'm from La, etc).

It isn't the ONLY song that can evoke that kind of emotion in that moment, but to say that any song or no song at all would have the same effect is retarded.
