Its a dumazz song....but if the players like it (and they are kids after all) then so be it. If you're a grownup and get your rocks off with the song then I'm sorry for you.

It's LSUs version of Stand Up and Get Crunk (for the moment). The song is old, outdated and not very good but for some reason it creates a different reaction than most (or all) other songs they are playing right now.

What about Callin Baton Rouge...another bad song that was adopeted because it mentions Louisiana.
That is three tunes that get the fans fired up, all different. I stand by the fact that with millions of songs to choose from, you could find a couple that were good songs, and didn't call me a bitch. I don't figure that is so hard. Put Louisiana in the lyrics and we will listen, put a fleur de lis on it and we will purchase.

what about the players that aren't from La?
They've been adopted
ETA: and as a song, it's meh. But whatever works.

If you were at the state game, when they played it, the state players and sideline were the ones jumping up and down while our players looked like they just got gang raped

It's one thing to say you don't like it, it's another thing to say it doesn't have an obvious effect. I don't disagree that I would prefer a different song there, but I would disagree that Callin Baton Rouge has the same effect on the crowd and the team as I'm from La.

Can we all agree that "Louisiana Saturday Night" is the absolute worst, and should never be played while the team is still on the field warming up?

You know honestly, I probably like that song better than B*$ch I'm from La, but I hate the reaction it gets, lol

By effect I don't mean people jumping around, I mean winning games. The song is being played AFTER the success, it is not the reason for it.

no, absolute worst would mean it is worse than 'Bitch, I am from La" and that is impossible.

I can't speak for anyone else, but in no way did I ever claim it was a reason for success.
The music absolutely has an effect on the emotions of the fans and players. I'm not talking about directly affecting the game, but it certainly affects the atmosphere. If it didn't, they wouldn't play it.
Remember when they tried two bits for a few years? It sucked, people hated it, reacted poorly to it and it went away. The same will eventually happen to this, as it has to Stand up and Get Krunk for Saints games.

That song it awesome and they should always play it! Emcee definitely wasnt at the Ole Miss game to see how pumped the stadium got after we scored our TD and they played that song befpre the kickoff. That place was rocking.
You my boy, brah, but I hate that song. It shows that anyone can be a rap artist.

I'm 100% certain I have never heard the words, "Bitch, I'm from Louisiana" over the loud speakers in Tiger Stadium. So to my kids, it's "I'm from Louisiana".

Because there is nothing in between Kenny Chesney and that song
