At some point you have to look at the long line of failed LSU QB's and realize there's a systematic problem.

Is halfway through spring practice the time to do that?

Pro style is next to extinct in HS football. There may be a couple of kids in any recruiting class that can play that style relatively well on a college level.

The best coaches will adjust schemes/styles based on the talent they have and what that talent is good at doing for the best overall results.

Urban Meyer wanted Harris, so that tells me all I need to know about Harris' talent.

Is there any way we can run a quarterback-less offense next year until our coaches can learn how to develop a passing offense?

What is bothersome is all the backlash posts. Some of these folks will attack you whether its true or not because they just don't want to be faced with the possibility Harris truly is NOT what they hoped.

Thanks for your post.

What is bother some is how some people takes this guy's word for the gospel truth. The likelihood he actually attended the scrimmage is slim to none. I base this off of he past post history. This guy had very credible sources that the Tharold Simon would be back for his sr season and we all know how that turned out.

Interesting how the same people that hear of random bad reports about Jennings from camp jump all over it and then shite on the coaches and Jennings while praising Harris and acting like the coaches are intentionally starting the lesser player. But when a negative report about the savior Harris comes out, everyone goes in to denial mode.

Interesting probably isn't the word for it. Predictable is the word considering the LSU fan base.

Harris really struggled out there. He missed wide open receivers, looked very timid in the pocket, and exhibited very poor body language. The pick that he threw in the red zone was horrible.

I think you can get banned for posting stuff like this.

That's so easy to say.

The truth is that the norm is young QBs struggling.

Especially when its an OBVIOUS alter. Skips 6 months between posts then pops in with some stupid shite then signs off again.

So why dont we recruit these type of players ?

Who says we don't?

Like I said there's two or three of them and lots of schools competing to get them. And QBs are different, in most cases they have their minds made up before they even reach their senior seasons.

There isn't a systematic problem. A lot of fans just fail to appreciate how hard it is to find a good college level QB, especially one that can play in this pressure cooker of a conference.

People look at an outlier like Ohio State last season and think "well if they had 3 QB, LSU should be able to get one." Most schools have trouble getting one.

Plus Ohio State plays in the garbage conference.

I've heard from multiple sources that Tony has been putting in the work and is ready to put the team on his shoulders next season, if necessary. No reason to doubt that he can do it.

It only took a complete beating by a shitty 4-4 team who hadn't one an SEC game in 2 years to make the coaches realize this. Not that they changed much.

We could play a team thats 1st in rush defense and last in passing defense and we would have still run the ball 70% of the time last year

Hopefully they start playing matchups a little better.

History makes it hard to refute those claims. Hell Tolliver's first interception makes it hard to refute those claims.

Harris has show us he is capable of performing well. Its not like people are pulling this out their asses there is actual proof.

Based off garbage time against a team that had pulled their starters and that performance against Auburn?
How did you tell he has "it"?

I think Harris has a great arm and I wish he played more but I'm not convinced either has "it" yet.
