He is listed as assistant athletic director. Do you think he makes as much as Verge and some of those guys? I'm willing to bet he puts in way more time and has more work to do.

Last I heard, the Athletic Department was part of LSU and "F King" is Chancellor of LSU so he should have a hand in setting limits on the pool for assistant salaries.

I think Jimmy Smith is full of shite. F. King might be the President but the bulk of coaches salaries are funded by the TAF which is not controlled by him. So what's to stop the TAF from putting up the funds to hire who they want.

Do you think a janitor who does more "work" than an engineer should get paid more?

A guy who said he is close friends with Austin Thomas said that austin and his family love lsu and that he had offers from some sec teams and nfl teams but wants to put in his time with lsu. His friend also said that he wants the word to get our about austin getting paid very low at lsu
