Like now. He understands the modern model for successful football better than anyone. Successful football and baseball means a successful athletic program at LSU.

I know the big money boosters post here. Make it happen.

Why not go get Scott Woodward at A&M? He was at LSU when things were working here and has experience at running big organizations. I'm not sure how interested he would be in the job though, the school is a mess.

LSU needs to vacate the SEC.

Horrible idea. The extra game we would win every year from playing in a weaker conference wouldn't make up the difference in money earned from the SEC.

The SEC is worth almost 100 million dollars more than the Big Ten, the next closest conference. That's over 6 million dollars per school. LINK

Still waiting on him to make a significant football hire. If he does it right, I'd love to have him here as well.

Probably won't be the D-line coach.

FWIW he did hire Chris Petersen at Washington.

If we tried to get in a bidding war with A&M for him, we would be laughed out if the conference.

Can he cook a gumbo?

We will settle for a poorly handled rape scandal on his resume in place of gumbo

Scott is an alum. His name wife is an alum and from BR.

We'd have a lot going for us if we wanted him back.

He's a Mark Emmert disciple. And a very intelligent guy that has been outside the program in Washington and A&M for a decade. He's very smart and I think would be a solid AD.

But I agree we need to see what kind of football hire he makes at A&M. The ultimate test
