people thinl saban was a great coach for lsu, but miles has better numbers
saban

But, Saban is not responsible for ANY of his own losses, and is at least 80% responsible for ALL of Miles's wins.

Get it straight, son.

I think the major knock on Les is he doesn't bring a scheme or a wrinkle to his coaching. Saban is "defense", Meyer is "spread offense", Charlie is "fat". They all are known for something that they bring to their new job. Les is a CEO, motivator. The only way Les will be known as a great coach is if he stays here for 25 -30 years like Joe Pa.

That's very possible and likely the reason. If he (and LSU) doesn't like it, he should change it by cutting out the airhead routine. If not, he's going to have to live with the public perceptions, and don't bitch when he's not on a top 10 list of coaches, this is precisely why he's not. You can't have it both ways. It is what it is.

The body of work I'm referring to is not the won/loss record, it's the body of work of being in public and being in front of the camera. You look dumb once, people forget about it, do it twice, and eyebrows are raised, do it 3 or more times, and your public persona is immortalized for good or bad. If you don't like it, change it.

I am sure Miles couldn't give a damn about this especially with the $4 mil cotton ear plugs blocking the sounds.

I can understand why the Media does this and I can see why our rivals do this (Either out of insecurity or merely to get under our skin) - what I don't understand is why does our fanbase(I mean the rant) does the same goddamn thing!!

I mean, are we incapable of rational thought and application of logic? (Yeah - I know it is the Rant!) Why is it that we can't put aside the illogical responses that arise from the gut/hormones and instead use cognitive abilities to analyze the accomplishments of Les?

The whole point of an LSU board is that we can indulge in our fantasy land of being the kings of the hill - if not always (ala Bama boards) at least in a few threads. That seems to be impossible nowadays in this board. We seem to be resembling a perennial loser team board - like say the MSU sixpack (Croom era) where they take it for granted that their coach is a loser and that they are going to get Whooped in the arse.

Let us at least don those p&g glasses once in a while
