It always helps when you have a decent line and a few receivers to throw to...and a defense that has a clue. Cutler will be a very good QB but he's with an organization that is working to win
Which is why the decision to go pro when he did, and take the money, knowing that the sorry arse Raiders were going to be the 1st pick to select him, was a poor decision. I'd rather have 40 million and play for a good team than 65 million and play for a bad one.

"What can we expect from him ?" In one word, FAILURE. He has neither the dedication or the mental ability to get it done. Cutler will show him just how inept he (JM) is and will continue to be.

this is about the level of dumb-assery i'd expect from the rantards...

way to go fellas' you fail to dissapoint.

p.s. if you look at jamarcus' stats he had a very good game for a guy who just got his 2nd start in the nfl...

JR did pretty well last night, i saw at least 3 dropped passes, while still ending up with a 110+ qb rating.

65% completions including 3 incompletions that should have been caught. Not a bad day, especially with that horrible offensive line.

You have to be kidding me! He was awful.

Much more to being a QB than completions...he managed the game horribly, you can tell he is not a leader, does not protect the ball, etc

Statistically he was pretty good, but a fumble and a crucial sack early on showed that he stills makes some of the same mistakes he did at LSU. I love the guy, and think he will be very good at some point, but he still makes critical mistakes. Taking a sack to put your team in 3rd and 15 just cannot happen when you have plenty of time to throw it away.

he had much better blocking when he was with us. i am sorry, unless you put in a manning or a brady behind that line you are not going to get much out of your qb. do you remember how brees looked at the beginning of the season last year? i guess you probably thought brees was garbage too.

they had a horrible game plan for they type of line play that they had. then add to that all the penalties forcing 3rd and long.

sure he did not play all that well but you are kidding yourself if you think it was all on him.

One game doesn't make a career. Let's wait until JR has a few games experience before you cut him. That being said, the Raider seem to be very wasteful with their money. The have a sixty million dollar quarterback and they have him handing off almost every play, sixteen million, guaranteed contract to a receiver who has lost his desire to play, and an OL that is bad. They could have signed some pretty good OLmen for that money and have a better team.

The team was awful. As far as the team goes, Jamarcus did a very good job overall.

after the first drive and turnover, every drive was killed by penalties and large negative plays. JR throw some nice balls that should have been caught. Defense was terrible, and Deangelo Hall is still looking for where Royal is.

Dunno..having JR boot leg on the left side on third down (4th?) and 4 was a pretty silly play call.

You hire the guy to gun the ball, not run it like McFadden.

If anything, have JR just run up the middle and use his size. However, he no longer enjoys his size advantage like in college.

Decent start. Average O-line. I am not a huge fan of Oakland's HC. I believe he is over his head.

The Raiders need to trade for some offensive lineman. The Saints need to make an offer to help out JR!

The fact is Jamarcus is still overrated and wouldn't even be playing in the NFL if he wasn't 6-6 240 pounds and couldn't throw the football 2 and 1/2 miles.

that's like saying no qb would be in the league if he wasn't very good, brilliant observation!

If you need me to spoon feed you, I was pointing out the fact that Jamarcus has hardly any skill and is riding on the fact that he's a physical freak.
