1991-1994 B.A. (3.5 years but 4 football seasons)

Then off I went to Berkeley for law school, and I've missed it ever since.

Graduate is a singular noun beginning with a consonant. LSU is the adjective. So is it not "a" LSU graduate? Even if I am incorrect, isn't this a bit A N A L ?

yes. masters in 1.5 years - Dec 2001
Ph.D in 4.5 years - May 2006

I don't think he is being anal, considering this is a thread about college graduates.

If it were just a normal rant thread then maybe it would be anal!

I do think stating it correctly merits consideration due to the subject matter. Please explain why it should be an, as I thought the consonant graduate would be preceeded by a, not an?

never attended...worked, partied, dated...everything except took classes. But, i grew up on the Tigers and win or lose i will always be a fan.

"An" should precede LSU because the "L" is pronounced "ell"....a vowel sound, even though "L" is a consonant. Maybe saying it out loud will help.

"A graduate" is correct.

"A LSU graduate" is incorrect.

BTW, I'm only a high school grad.

Graduated in Dec of 82.(B.F.A.) Went off and on, both FT and PT from 74-82. Tiger Band 8 freakin seasons. Been a Professional Photographer for 25 years..........

Yep. One semester at SLU. 4.0 years at LSU. Graduated from LSU in December 1977.
