disagree to a degree... people on here may be overly negative/positive because of the anonymity that they have. They are like this outside of the board but they hide it better and don't lean to far either way.

This part is important, basically you are saying anyone who doesn't agree with what you type. I think they have a couple that are far out left, but majority of critical post have a point behind them and I can understand their reasoning.

Unreasonable. Expectations are too low.

Both.

And depends on each team, players, situations, etc.

The dream season for some lsu "fans" is for lsu to go undefeated and then fire the entire coaching staff because the qb didn't average 310 passing yards/game.

Expectations are high but that isn't necessarily bad. Baseball is the number 1 program in attendance so it's comparable to Kentucky or duke expectations for round ball. A great year at another school may only be a good year at truly elite or expected elite programs. Football is a solid program but it's cleary not fun having other Sec west schools equalling or surpassing success that were clearly beneath the program. It's not fun playing second fiddle to traditional sec schools in certain years in football but the others have stepped up. Fair or not the expectation is for LSU to be a major force in the division year in and yeAr out. If Kentucky and Vandy started winning in the East over programs like UGA or Florida I am sure they wouldn't like it either.

12-1 in football (losing playoff,)

There's a game missing somewhere if they made the playoffs. I'm assuming they were in the SECCG if they made the playoffs in this scenario. Not being a wiseass, just sayin'.

I say Miles gets a pass if he wins 8 or 9 games this year but if he can't win 10 in 2016 he is gone.
VERY low standards of excellence for you and your kind Sir.

4.5 million dollar HC. Great overall staff. Great recruiting. (In most areas) Great facilities. Great fan support. No reason what-so-ever than this program should ever be below the 10 win mark. 8-9 is totally unacceptable at anytime for LSU Football!........

With the class he will bring in next year may be #1 he isn't going to be fired if we have a less than stellar year. The great 2014 class will be in its 3rd season and the just as great if not better 2016 class will be freshman. The 2016 team could be 2011 level. The anticipation of that team will give miles a chance even if he only wins 8 games in 2015.

I want a 10 or more season just giving my thoughts on what miles has to do to stay around.
