Apparently Avery is in the running for return duties, as well. Tough competition there, though.

I read yesterday that Fournette and Magee are getting reps returning kicks too

I heard its because they can't tackle him at practice. It's motivation for the D. Since y'all can't tackle him anyway, put a green jersey on him!

Eta: fabricated

This team might be young, but dang they are loaded. I know LSU reloads consistently year to year, but I really get the feeling that the young men we have right now are going to do something special.

Based on what I've been reading and seen, it appears that this team has a new attitude and a very strong work ethic. It seems like we have always had 1 or 2 key players that lacked work ethic, I'm not seeing it now.

Apparently Q. Thomas was at practice doing individual drills.

Apparently Chavis has the defense ready and the D-line is looking beastly.

Apparently Cam wants the QBs to command the offense like Mett did.

Apparently Les has been called out to do the ice bucket challenge.

Well that does it. LF is obviously injury prone. May as well call the season now.

DT is scary because Herron is moving inside from DE

he is 300+ pounds so it doesn't matter

they didn't specify where neal was playing but he is 2nd string d end and 3rd string d tackle (worst case scenario)

that's the excuse the defense used because they couldn't bring him to the ground

Fournette, Dupre taking things slow
quote:

LSU's first scrimmage of fall camp took place on Wednesday, but two former five-star prospects from the 2014 class were held back from a full-go as they rehab from minor injuries suffered during the opening stretch of camp.

Running back Leonard Fournette didn't go full-contact on Wednesday, instead taking just six snaps during the "thud" period, where ball carriers weren't tackled to the ground.

"He's a little nicked up," Miles said. "It's nothing serious."

Miles said wide receiver Malachi Dupre, who has been in and out of practices over the past week, is also "on the heal". Dupre was held back from full-contact on Wednesday, and Miles updated his status following the scrimmage, saying Dupre "won’t face anything major in any way, but we need to continue to treat him."

Both Fournette and Dupre are expected to compete for starting jobs over the coming weeks.
