I don't think Bleacher Report's stats are accurate on that. Also, are you seriously arguing that you believe Dwayne Thomas is a better cover guy as a third db than Mathieu? Is that truly the hill you want to die on?

Thomas has been making plays all year. Simple folks only look for someone to blame when things go wrong, but don't recognize individual contributions when things go as planned.

Here's a question, since Thomas had had to play so much so far this season. What is Paris's role on this team right now, if any? I hardly ever see him out there other than garbage time, and it's rare that he is called out for doing anything. Is he only playing once games are out of hand?

IIRC he played really well in spots last year. Maybe expectations were a little high especially coming off an injury. He played pretty well against UF

Stop it. You brought up Mathieu. Then went on to use incorrect stats. I was just correcting you.

that angle that RJ took on the bomb to calloway before halftime was crazy bad, though.

No it wasn't. If you've ever played DB, even in flag leagues, you'd understand what happened there. Jefferson played the receiver, and that's what determined his angle - and it was the proper angle based on the receiver's route. Jefferson probably took his eyes off the receiver to look for the ball - exactly as you are coached to do. At that moment the receiver adjusted his route.

Jefferson seemed to be, as Curly would say, a victim of circumstance rather than of bad angles. It appeared to me that Jefferson played it properly.

Actually, I didn't. Mathieu was not in coverage for all of Norwood's catches. That was his total stat line, not his line with Mathieu in coverage. He did give up a 26 yarder to Norwood. I'm glad you don't seriously think Thomas was in the same class as Mathieu. Using incorrect stats to justify your stupid comparison was pretty low rent.

2 completions one for 42 yards, no big deal. So he gave up 50 yards on 6 targets, that's 8.3 an attempt. I see why they kept going to that well, and why he was lifted for Jackson

By this logic Florida should bench Hargreaves. Do you know the real reason Dwayne Thomas should play? Because the coaches say so. They know the whole story, and we don't.

I remember unanimity among LSU fans on the point that Danny Macrae (sp) sucked. Turns out he was so good that he made a nice NFL career out of it.

Bringing up TM as an argument that DT is terrible might be the dumbest thing on TD this week. We'll have to wait and see.

You clearly took the cake when you argued that Dwayne Thomas was better than Mathieu because of Mathieu's performance in the national championship game. It was even more impressive than all of your posts saying Chinea sucked last year as he mashed the ball all over the yard.

I never argued that. Quit making up shite later in the thread. I told you to stop. You brought up TM as a better cover guy. Well no shite. I used an example that showed he's had just as bad a game as any DT game this year.

Chinea? The guy who got 2 hits the entire NCAA tournament. Lulz.

You're still arguing it.

"Thomas is better than Mathieu"

"Ron Brooks was hated on this Board"

mills being back will help secondary and let Thomas go back to the badger position.

He was really good saturday night including a possible game saving pass breakup in the end zone. He was the scapegoat for the secondary's problems in the first 5 games and got a lot of hate on here.

Really? Who was bashing him? I mean, its tough to defend guys one-on-one if the QB has a lot of time to throw. Unless it was a short route with a missed tackle, it'd be hard to pinpoint whether it was Dwayne Thomas or the D-Line at fault. If the D-Line doesn't get any push, and the QB has a lot of time, then its tough for any defensive back. Dwayne had a great play on the ball when Callaway caught that ball in the endzone. It was a textbook pass break-up.

DT has been blamed for every passing yard allowed this season by rantards.

You can just read this thread. Some dipship said he should never see the field again.

Obviously, but he was beat several times and Cooper ate his lunch all game. I know Cooper is damn good, but it was getting ridiculous.
