He's Finebaum's designated LSU guest to stir the pot. That's what he's there for. Fine, if he needs the attention bad enough to go on a Bama homer show and play the circus clown role, more power to him. But I'll keep that in mind when he's on a local show and wants us to take his analysis seriously.
Add to this, his younger brother helping Shea Patterson and Ole Miss recruit northern LA, and I'm starting to wonder about the Hester's.

The second part is stupid. What on God's green Earth would be good about naming a starter now other than to satisfy retarded fans and media?

Both of these guys still need to push the hell out of each other. Name a starter now, and I bet both guys begin to slack. One guy thinks he's locked it up, the other guy decides why work so hard now. Why do people think it's so rare for somebody to be named a starter after spring? Neither Manziel or Winston were named starters after spring games. Unless you already have an established starter, one shouldn't be named after spring and crazy fans and media just need to get over it.

The only way Miles would get fired is if he left Jennings in all season and he performed at the same level of performance he did last year.

Hester told it like the rational LSU fan does. He played for Miles and knows that Miles is not the sharpest knife in the drawer and that LSU won many games NOT because of Miles but in spite of Miles. And 05,06,07 he still managed to lose 2 games a year in which he was favored. An average coach before he got to LSU and an Average Coach now. LIKE chavis said we should have won some Championships AND that's my biggest regrets. ALSO said he never saw so much talent come in and out the door, AND M ILES STILL COULDN'T WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP WITHOUT SABAN'S PLAYERS AND JIMBO FISHERS QB

Why is it that whenever a realist makes an opinion, he gets branded a negatiger? The so-called posi-tigers are looking more defensive and desperate by the day.

5) Les took over a national championship level team talent-wise when he got here. No other coach took over a team in the shape Les did in the SEC in likely the past 50 years. So I'd hope he'd be successful.

how dare someone get on a syndicated national sports show, and voice an opinion that is not in line with GoodoleLess and his brilliant coaching strategies ! What makes this guy fit to suggest GoodoleLess needs to do anything he is not doing now ? The audacity of it all. Well, he is an NFLer and did play at LSU , and made it into the NFL there despite GoodoleLess . Who knows, maybe BH and his gold-plated clipboard have a future at LSU, it just won't be this year. Maybe after Jennings is gone he'll be able to step right in. Anybody interested in a little wager pertaining as to who will be our starting qb, leave me a note on here. I think I can safely even offer a few odds if you think BH won't have his personalized clipboard in hand for the tipoff of next years season.

I honestly don't understand why people listen or watch Finebaum's show. What's the draw?...Is it a down south/country thing?

This. I used to watch/listen because it was all SEC all the time (almost). I knew I could get my football fix, so I endured the moronic calls from the mouth-breathing blockheads that called in for the sole purpose of garnering their 15 minutes of fame. I finally got to the point where I just couldn't take it.

Finebaum is annoying enough by himself, but when you add in the list of regular dolts that call the program it was time to save my own sanity and say goodbye.

I whole heartedly agree with Hester's statements here. The QB circus under Miles is incomprehensible with as much talent at he has had during his time here

So that MSU knows who to gameplan for, duh.

If we're scared of Mississippi State knowing who our starting QB is then maybe we have bigger issues.

The media put them there knowing that teams with a second chance RARELY lose the second game.
This conspiracy crap is just that, especially because you are absolutely incorrect that teams with a second change rarely lose the second game.

First of all, since rematches happen infrequently in college football, it's hard to find useful information on the outcomes, which means you basically made up the RARELY happens thing w/r/t college football.

However rematches happen every year in the NFL, so there is better information on the success rate of the winner/loser of the first game. What that information shows is that in divisional games, when the road team wins the first game, that same team has a 64.5% chance to win the rematch at home.

Insofar as we can compare the NFL to the NCAA, in the LSU/Bama case, LSU as the road team won the first game, with the rematch being a defacto home game in the Superdome. The NFL information suggests LSU had a better chance to win the rematch. If the media conspired to put Bama in the game under the auspices you suggest, then they are stupid and acted contrary to the percentages.

See below link for NFL divisional rematch study:

Name a starter??? why? If he names Harris.....Jennings says F this....likewise if he names Jennings, Harris may say F this....but by continuing to say he will name a starter when one separates himself from the other they are BOTH incentivized to work hard to win the job...duh

Miles Is way smarter than most LSU fans.

I'm still waiting for someone to state what Hester did wrong. He didn't trash LSU or Les from what I can see. If someone has information to the contrary please post it. Or are we so delicate that anything other than unconditional loyalty is unacceptable?

Even in the military we are expected to challenge poor leadership decisions.

Where he was embarrassed and historically unprepared.

I love Les. But after the JJ/JL debacle to find ourselves here yet again only 2 years later? How can we consistently recruit such unbelievable talent at running back and yet miss so spectacularly at QB?

No. As I posted above, being a football player probably means ALL of your opinions are moronic (don't know about this particular one, but his comment that Les should just name a starter is stupid).

quote:

It's not just all idiots that think LSU could be better off without Miles.

True. It's a valid opinion that I just happen to disagree with. Actually, it's literally correct, but I assume you meant "would" instead of "could".

I think one of these guys needs to take ownership of the team and step up and be a leader. It's harder to do that when there is still a debate on who will play.
