So you are saying that the 9-6 game meant more than the Title game?????

When we played bama on 11/5 that game was for all marbles and one team was gonna get eliminated. You act like Saban meant to lose on 11/5 just so he win on 1/9. Whether you want to admit it or not lsu and bama played in bds in late november for the sec west and subsequently the sec title and miles out coached saban.

And I don't think Miles outcoached Saban in game one.. I think LSU players outplayed Bamas........

Holy shite. Yeah choosing to try 4 field goals that wouldve been career long makes for your kicker is good coaching.

He's Finebaum's designated LSU guest to stir the pot. That's what he's there for. Fine, if he needs the attention bad enough to go on a Bama homer show and play the circus clown role, more power to him. But I'll keep that in mind when he's on a local show and wants us to take his analysis seriously.

You're a sad, angry, pathetic man, you are.

Great post. This place is like an angry mob from south park sometimes. idiots reading the first 5 words and now they're shunning Hester like he's some kind of traitor for giving a very basic and non-controversial opinion. The kneejerk reactions from the pumpers are so much more laughable and ridiculous than most negatiger responses I see.

Insofar as we can compare the NFL to the NCAA, in the LSU/Bama case, LSU as the road team won the first game, with the rematch being a defacto home game in the Superdome.

The game is over. But I must say this is one of the dumbest things I've seen written about this "rematch".

Firstly, a defacto home game would have had more than 50% of the fans in favor of the home team in attendance. Secondly, if the game was at Tiger Stadium it would have had tens of thousands of more fans, and would have been a true home game.

When exactly in the NFL do the teams have more than a month to gameplan after coming off a loss?

So much fail. That Bama team was unreal, but no doubt we beat them at LSU at night if we played them 2 weeks after the BCS game.

Agreed. He's not dumb, he knows why he's there. His choice but disappointing to see.

This. I used to watch/listen because it was all SEC all the time (almost). I knew I could get my football fix, so I endured the moronic calls from the mouth-breathing blockheads that called in for the sole purpose of garnering their 15 minutes of fame. I finally got to the point where I just couldn't take it.

+1 It took about two minutes.

Less than 80 miles from your campus in the state of LA largest city. Yes, it was essentially a home game.

Obviously NFL to College is apples to oranges. I was just refuting the notion that the losing team in the first game almost always wins the second game. The only real study on the issue says the opposite. The OP on the topic was wrong.

You mean like he did with Jefferson in the championship game when the second half looked like the first half right from the beginning? You mean just like when he let Lee and ZM sit on the sidelines of that game and rot while Jefferson made a full of himself, Les and the Tigers in the biggest game of the year and seen by millions on national TV? Na that could never happen. Oh scratch that, when Les made himself look like a fool.

And 1 NC, 8 years ago.

That took extraordinary circumstances to achieve.

what type of circumstances led to LSU losing out on the 2011 national title? Guess it's only fair to talk about when LSU had luck on their side right?

Les Miles has known since day 1 that he will be starting Jennings.

He just wants it to appear to the media and fan base that he is struggling and mull over the decision.

Frankly, that LSU doesn't have a named starter right now is an indication we're about to have another rough year.

Hester's been around football. He knows this.

Hester is 100% correct. I don't see Les getting fired, not because he doesn't deserve it because of he gameday ineptitude, but because our AD doesn't have the onions to pull that trigger.

Agree on 10 wins. Tired of excuses. Naming a starter now makes no sense. You don't know what the QBs will look like by the end of Aug.

Did you watch the game? Our oline was getting destroyed and Jefferson was running for his life and your solution is to put in a less mobile qb that didnt handle pressure well at all and had a career 1td-7 ints against bama?
