Harris is very talented, but he's the shiny new freshman toy. People have been overlooking Jennings despite (or maybe because of) his edge in experience. The QB battle will make both of them better in the long run, and I feel confident in whoever Les and Cam decide to go with on August 30.

If you have 2 QBs you have no leader! LSU seems to recruit these talented guys to play QB but never a leader!!! Just recruit a leader that can complete a few passes!

Only the rant could make a huge "the sky is falling" deal about a couple of tweets.

Any chance we can get Rettig to transfer back? I dont buy either guy, during the spring game they both reminded me of JJ.

as someone else mentioned, why in the hell would these kids be allowed to tweet etc about anything team-related? social media is bad for the brain and bad for the team (at least tweets by players are).

Call me old school, but when you are putting in extra practice I don't think you stop to take a selfie to make sure everyone know you are doing it.

Kinda reminds me of the co-worker who has to e-mail the whole office any time they log in on a weekend.

Jennings scrambled like JJ. Harris climbed the pocket. This is the only thing that gave Harris the edge to me

I guess nowadays if you do not tweet that you are "grinding" or put a picture of your workout on Instagram then you are not working hard. Some desire the attention more than others, it has NOTHING to do with anybody's work ethic.

I've been reading about their spring game performances for months, and I watched the replay for the first time yesterday. To a casual observer Harris probably looked better. Look closer, and it's the other way around.

What I saw is Harris being very behind in making reads and progressions. If he didn't see what he expected to see he took off right away. AJ is way ahead, as you'd expect. He was standing in the pocket trying to go through progressions.

Clearly the game hasn't "slowed down" yet for AJ, but he's getting close. He has to reach the point that he's ahead of the two second "clock" in making his decisions. When he gets there, you'll see those stupid throws eliminated. Brandon Harris still has that journey in front of him.

Here's what I expect from 2014 - AJ is the horse Cam will ride. However, there will be games in which AJ can't seem to get it together. I expect Cam to use BH in those situations due to his superior athletic ability. If he's successful, I expect fans to be very frustrated that he doesn't start the next week.

If BH puts in the work, and is smart and poised enough, he'll eventually get it figured out. If that happens he'll be difficult to keep out of the starting position.

6 or 7 sacks taken as well as those picks... he sure didn't look "ahead" to anyone else...

he's got more time in the system, but harris has more talent. BH is also a sponge and a student of the game. You just know he's going to outwork anyone around him. that's the kind of player he is.

3 throwing TD's in the spring certainly cannot be looked at like it's a bad thing. meanwhile jennings threw 2 lazy/bad passes that went the other way for TD's.

I expect harris to take the starting job in august and not let go of it for the rest of the year barring injury.
