Vandy has an open date on 10/29 as do we.

Schedule a game with them which would give us our full slate of SEC games. Let UF find their own makeup game.

That would piss off Bama.

I'm for it.

Be careful... I posted this an hour ago and it pissed some people off on this board too.

It's better than not playing and achieves the same objective. Not sure why it would be dismissed.

The rest of the SEC would melt. Would be awesome.

If that was allowed, sure. I'm sure Vandy would love the extra millions they gained in revenue.

Obviously this absolutely wouldn't happen, but at least tRant seems to be more concerned than the SEC offices in finding resolution.

How do we convince Vandy?

I like it.

But if we play them on that open date, won't they be giving up their bye week? They only have one, correct?

That would be a tough sell.

Wouldn't that give Vandy 13 regular-season games and nine conference games?

That's a massive challenge. They would have to give up an easy nonconference game to get their asses kicked for an extra game in conference.

Imagine the melt if we would win out and somehow schedule this game and lose .

If Vandy hadn't already played UF it would be an interesting compromise.

Vandy bought out a 2018 game (w UMass) for $650K. What if LSU picks up the tab to buy out Tenn St on 10/22 as an incentive (Vandy, I presume, doesn't want to play 13 games in reg season, and this gives them a bye before LSU)?

Trade Tenn St home game on 10/22 for, hell, let them host 10/29 and make $$. Winner, winner in my book!

frick it, I'd commit to going to Nashville to see this game as a way of showing appreciation.

And whichever team, LSU or UF, has the greater margin of victory over the dores is the defacto winner

I like this idea. I don't know how much Vandy will enjoy being a punching bag for LSU.
