This is about where I am. There are plenty of people outside the SEC that don't want to see another SEC win. Should Bama lose to either LSU or Auburn they are going to have to fall at least to 3 and maybe four. It is not certain that teams like Florida State or Ohio State or Baylor will lose. All Bama needs to do is end up number three and that seems very possible with a loss to LSU or Auburn. This is the best of all possible worlds based on many of the opinions on this thread. The SEC streak does not actually end with an SEC team being beaten by another conference or independent, it just cannibalized itself out of the picture therefore upholding the toughness of the conference and allowing us NOT to see Nick hoist another trophy.
Last year I admit to experiencing reluctant and subdued satisfaction at Bama's gutting of the Irish only because I dislike them marginally more than I dislike Bama.
