Tulane will have a lot of money to lure new coach.

meh, not sure that is relevant. They arent going to land a big name. They'll need to get an up and comer and it might as well be Andy, who would settle there and never leave.

We all can't be as clever and as innovative as you are.We just have to be patient and wait for your inevitable appearance to point out the error of our ways.

Not false, he was a High School head coach (that doest count) and then an assistant at Miami then came to LSU as the head coach

You are right. Why would he want to be under Maneri while he can go do his own thing.

What an idiotic statement! Cannizaro sitting behind a lame coach like Manieri. That lame coach has won a National Championship with players inherited from the Smoke Laval era, been to 4 CWS, won 5 SEC Tournament Titles and 3 SEC Championship Games in a far more competitive environment than 20 years ago. Where did you coach or play ball or do you just sit in front of your TV or from your local sports bar thinking you are some kind of genius?

"We are keeping a tired old coach" I am sure it is news the LSU administration that you are making decisions in the program....NOT!!

Riser has experience but it's limited to Southeastern both as assistant and HC (1 yr as TU assistant). Pierce had that key Rice experience (as well as other schools) prior to his few years as head coach.
I think AC's connections, work at a top program, history with Tulane and perceived ability to recruit trump Riser.
Probably moot anyway- I hear Pierce has $1 mill buyout. Not sure he's that compelling. But if Tex wants him, they'll get him.

think he'd bring in better players. I think experience can be overrated sometimes. Having a better résumé doesn't always mean you're the better man for the job. Tulane can get someone with a better résumé than both of them,

Again based on what? A hunch? We don't know how good of a recruiter AC is.

So you are telling me you would rather work under someone than be your own boss? Most people have bigger aspirations in life. If he wants to get a real head job one day, it would be best for him to actually have head coaching experience. Just look at the what Blake Dean and Cliff Godwin are doing right now. Resume building for their next big job.

Blake Dean wasn't even a paid assistant, taking the UNO job was a no brainer.

Cannizaro can afford to be pickier about where he takes his first job

Good, so now we just need Texas to hire a head coach not named Pierce and we should be good with Cannizaro?
