I agree with grayson88....and I too was in the east upper deck. The heat affected the atmosphere of the game. It was too damn hot. You could feel how drained the life of the crowd was.

I wonder what would happen if Alleva had to ride from NO to BR on a game day like this past Saturday and sit in standstill traffic for 2+ hours on Burbank. Just once.

That is utter BS. I'm guessing you don't sit in the East Upper deck. I'm in a boat saltwater fishing regularly during the middle of summer, and it seems like a mountain vacation compared to being up there Saturday. And then people parked in their La-z-boy with the AC turned down come in here and bitch about empty seats.

do I need to try again?

The early (Jeff Pilot) game rarely had worthwhile games - only 'big' game was 2:30 CBS.

ESPN has a ton of SEC night games every Saturday - I really don't understand how playing at night on ESPN means you are a bad team, yet that is what folks scream when you suggest LSU games should be at night.

ou think people in Big 10 and others complain because its too cold?"

Anybody that has this fantasy that they don't complain about the cold is a fool. Of course they complain. People will bitch about anything-anything. Not a single individual can determine what's bonafide as something legit and something not legit;however, everyone thinks their own view is the one all should go by.
It's very irrational.

because we have a conference front office run by people who only seem to think about what's good for Alabama?

Alabama has played more 2:30 games than any team in the conference over the last five years. It's hot in alabama just like its hot in Louisiana ( and Georgia, and Florida, and Mississippi, and South Carolina.)

This has as much to do with "they're out to get us" in your eyes as it has to do with the weather, because if you did your research you would see that the best teams in the league play at 2:30, and it's hot everywhere.

I have no problems with Hot. I do not handle Cold very well. I worked in Germany one time in November and I never was so Cold. I could not wait to leave and come back to the Philippines even though I was making good money.

Unacceptable. If I am managing concessions for 90K people in 85+ degree heat and fail to keep them safely hydrated, I fully understand when asked to tender my resignation the following Monday morning.

One partial solution that comes to mind is when the temperature is forcast to be over 85 degrees would to allow each person coming into the stadium to have two half liter bottles of water with them...preferably frozen...

another (in the when pigs fly department) would to have CBS have liability for any heat injuries suffered written in the TV contract....

I was in the east upper deck and I stayed the entire game. That being said it was one of the hottest games I have been to. It definitely sucked the life out of the stadium, If you weren't there I dont want to hear about toughing it out. That heat can be dangerous, especially for our older fans, and the aid stations were full.

The aid stations were full of drunks even more than usual, due to the heat, but because they don't have enough sense to cut back a little bit and hydrate some. Don't get me wrong, I am all for having fun but, if you are falling down stupid by 2:30 in the afternoon, there is something wrong with you.

However, you are correct about the older fans. It is tough for many of them to stick around that long when it is really hot outside.

I used to sneak frozen bottles of water in the stadium every week early in the season when it was hot out. I won't reveal my secret as to how I got them in :)

i'm beginning to wonder if the lot of you guys are even capitalists. should i refer to you as "comrade" from here on out or are you going to stop bitching about wealth inequality because of some empty seats? (this is not necessarily directed at WITNESS23)

I was in the East Upper the whole game. It felt like the devil was sitting on my shoulders, slapping me in the face with his fiery hand. I was so close to the sun, I could actually hear it.

Time to face the truth. Mike slive does not care one bit about Louisiana State University , it's fans , or traditions. He and Roy Kramer never have and never will. If you want special attention or favors then move to Alabama. There will always be unfair treatment to LSU by Slive and Joe Alleva is not man enough to frick over the commish.
Narcissism.

The worst part of day gams in the East Upper is watching the shadow of the west side slowly move across the field, knowing it will never reach you.
