I like them. or don't object is probably more accurate. the competition early in the year is better than a home game that time of the year, usually. national TV is assured, usually a very good time slot. that early in the season it's nice to have an inside game, too. I know it usually deprives us of a home game but all in all, I'm ok w/ it.

so if I had to pick between McNeese on labor day weekend in TS or, for instance, Okla St in Atlanta, I'd take the latter.

I will watch the game regardless of where it is played, but I prefer home and home to a neutral site game.

If it is a big game, it will still be on TV, and the exposure will still be there. For those attending, the atmosphere of a game on campus is a far better prospect.

I am not a season ticket holder, and am certainly not an expert on the financial ins and outs of neutral site vs. home and home. It just seems to me that much is being missed out on when holding a neutral site game.

Neutral sites are like parasites that leech some of the essence of college football away from the sport. It's part of the evolution of the business side of the sport and, like many others, I hate it.

The entire purpose of having your own stadium with an AURA, is so you can showcase it on national television to fans and recruits. Its one of the ways you build a persona for the program. If no one wants to play at home stadiums they should just save money, tear them down and go to "rentastadium.com" to schedule the next neutral site match up.

UGA and Notre Dame are doing a home and away and I am glad they are not doing a pussy neutral site.

Who says LSU has to or should play on Thanksgiving in Tiger Stadium?

It's an A&M thing. Why do we want to be part of their dumb traditions? I love Thanksgiving football -- as long as my teams aren't a part of it.

1. LSU should NEVER agree to play anyone on Thanksgiving no matter where it is played. That goes for at A&M too.

2. One neutral site game at an NFL stadium is what the players want every year. It is immensely popular with them and with the coaches as well. We should continue doing one in most years.

3. We should ALSO be playing a home-and-home every year with a Power 5 team or NDame/BYU.

4. We should never ever play a FCS team again.

I like them. It makes for an exciting opening week and we always get a nice vacation out of it. It helps that we have won them all so far.

I'd rather play a really good team at a neutral site than play a mediocre or bad team at home. That being said, if we can do a home and home with a really good team, I'm for that option over anything. However, those games are the most difficult to schedule.

I used to be for them but then I realized what their net impact is: a significant reduction in good OOC games being played on college campuses.

In a vacuum I have no problem with, say, LSU playing Wisconsin in Houston. That's a good, appealing matchup. But I would prefer for that game to be played in TS (or Camp Randall), and the proliferation of neutral site games makes good OOC games less likely to be played on campus. Indeed a normal SEC schedule has only lousy OOC games being played on campus. So, for me, I am against the neutral site games because I see them as a net negative, not because the games themselves are bad.

I don't mind them. I had a lot of fun in Houston last year sans the after the game debacle.

Houston? Dallas? Those are nice vacations for you?
I hate the neutral site games! It takes away a home game (I am a season ticket holder) Furthermore, I look forward to traveling to see other campuses and college towns. Take South Carolina for instance. Tiger fans are expected to be traveling big for this game, because we will not be back there anytime soon. This idea that we have to play in Texas to recruit in Texas is also total BS. We play A&M every other year in Texas, and the SEC network is all over Texas now. This is 2015 folks, you do not have to have a traveling circus to get exposure.

Never understood the "takes away a home game" argument. A home and home series would do that too every other year or so. More often then not, it will be further to travel to a true away game then a neutral site game and harder to get tickets.

Also, I think it's good for the players to have a game in a "half" road game environment with a good team with some LSU backing to warm them up for what SEC play is like on the road.

However, all of the other arguments against I can see, like not wanting to travel to see a good opponent.

I went to both Dallas games and the Houston game last year and loved all 3.

I won't even bother watching the McNeese game on tv this year.

They're okay. I like decent home games better. Neutral games are basically the greatest screw job on STHs.

LSU has Neutral site games in 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018. Thats 5 out of 6 years. If these were home and home series instead, then LSU would have a great non-conference home game 3 times in a 6 year span. Instead we have 1 in 6 years. Not that hard to understand.

I liked the occasional neutral site game but fear we'll NEVER see another quality OOC game in Tiger Stadium.

My TAF fee isn't reduced when we only play seven home games so I'm left to pay the price for three weak OOC games. I'm not interested in paying for season tickets, TAF fund, neutral site game, and bowl game. Something has to give.

Between weak OOC opponents and the high volume of day games (with the exception of last year which was great), the value of being a season ticket holder is in decline.

The fan living in Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, etc. is getting much more value for their one game than us long term supporters of the program whose value continues to be diminished. LSU will only lose $4K/season if I bail but it will eventually add up.

It's an easy fix but it doesn't appear they will address it. Either throw the long term supporters an occasionally bone with a quality OOC opponent (or discounted tickets to a neutral game) or risk losing many fans.

They can make it work for everybody. Unfortunately it appears the people with no voice are some of the most dedicated supporters. Sad!
