which sport? I'm guessing football, I rather home home series rather than neutral site. Kinda like we did with West Virginia instead of one game vs Oregon. But I'm fine with it if we have to play them.

In other sports neutral site games are great because usually they are a part of round robin tournaments and usually you play better teams than if you play teams at home.

I don't mind every couple years. Oregon game in Dallas was fun. I think It should have been a true home/home with Wisconsin though.

Again as I am not there it's fine so why not. Attended Thanksgiving game vs Bama 1973. Like the idea of LSU on evening

I'll say this

even though Oregon LSU was a better matchup, LSU @ West Virginia was a better game to watch because of the home field atmosphere. Mo Claiborne's return for a TD with their stadium rocking was one of the most exciting plays of that season.

It's thanksgiving having to go a football game on one of the best days for family gatherings sucks. Play football on Friday or Saturday.

This argument really gets to me. The whole notion of selling the LSU "brand" makes college football overly commercialized, which it sadly is these days given television contracts and athletic apparel sponsorship.

There is a reason why I prefer collegiate over professional football. I enjoy the on-campus atmosphere and the accompanying passion and pageantry.

When you schedule more and more games at these professional venues it only furthers the idea that college football is nothing more than a farm league for the NFL.

Some people are fine with that but I personally am not.

Just as easy to get that in Tiger Stadium. I would think the exposure would actually be better for potential recruits watching on national TV.

I like them, personally, but I can see people being pissed if they are season ticket holders. They have one less game to watch live now (or, perhaps more accurately, one less game they can sell their tickets to).

It's that attitude is why a lot of people don't stay the whole game anymore. You make it sound like its a task to be in Tiger Stadium on game day.

No one is forcing you to attend any football game. Game is on Thanksgiving and you don't feel like going, don't go. You're not obligated to be there.

Games played in an NFL/"sterile" venue, tailgating really sucks, ticket prices are HIGHLY inflated...i.e. 3-4 times as high as a home game, best seats are "reserved" for the neutral site season ticket holders, seldom get a high profile OOC home/away series, season ticket holders disappointed, local game day economy/workers/support staff takes a huge hit......what's not to like ?????

I understand what you're saying but we should be concerned about how many people go to games. Playing the Saturday after thanksgiving vs playing on Thanksgiving more people will show up.

Plus football on another day other than Saturday sucks. College football is designed to be played on Saturday's especially in the big conferences. I understand why some people like it moved but the atmosphere suffers when we don't play on Saturday Night in Tiger Stadium. Every tiger fan should prefer Saturday night in tiger stadium over all other times.

Note: I love football in tiger stadium, and I would go if we played on thanksgiving day, but I strongly prefer Saturday football even during Thanksgiving week.

Most Non-season ticket holders like them. After all, you are watching from your couch so what does it matter to you where the game is played.

Most season ticket holders hate them b/c it robs us of getting great non-conference home games in Tiger Stadium.
