Please don't cry about it, apparently you're the bitter one.

Jacob Hester is an all time LSU great.
Everybody knows this.

QBs to consider: Tittle, Jones, Hodson, Russell
RBs to consider: Faulk, Billy Cannon, Jim Taylor

Kevin Mawae and Alan Faneca come to mind on OL

DBs there are a ton - PP and T Casanova deserve consideration, I like TM7 for nickle even though he was only at LSU a brief time.

No one mentioned Jerry Stovall. 2nd in the 1962 Heisman voting. He has to be on the all-time great list.

Ok...So I took some time with this. Im sure I still left a few guys off. If they played before the late 90's they wont be on my list, not to shun any of the all time greats but this is just my opinion.

QB - Mettenberger, Mauck, Flynn
RB - D.Davis, K.Faulk, J.Hill, C.Scott, J.Addai, J.Hester
FB - T.Banks, Q.Johnson
WR - M.Clayton, D.Bowe, J.Landry, J.Reed, R.Randle, D.Byrd, OBJ, D.Henderson
TE - R.Dickson, D.Lafleur
OL - S.Peterman, N.Livings, A.Whitworth, J.Barksdale, K.Mawe, H.Johnson, C.Black, A.Faneca
DL - T.Jackson, B.Mingo, G.Dorsey, C.Lavalais, K.Williams, M.Spears, R.Jean-Francious, M.Brockers
LB - A.Highsmith, B.James, K.Sheppard, K.Minter, P.Riley
CB - C.Webster, P.Peterson, M.Claiborne, J.Zenon, C.Jackson, R.Brooks
S - L.Landry, C.Jones, E.Reid, R.Clark, C.Steltz, C.Taylor
KR - D.Davis, T.Holliday, P.Peterson
K - D.alleman
P - D.Jones
HC - L.Miles

C.Collins, TM7 and all other trouble makers have been left off.

Any lsu fan that has Flynn has an ALLTIME qb doesn't know shite about football. JORDAN JEFFERSON had a higher qb rating in 09 than Flynn in 07. Flynn was average at best.

That's right.

2007 - Flynn - 125.8
2009 - Jefferson - 137.2

And that was with a subpar offensive line that gave up 37 sacks. 2007 also had a much better running game:

2007 - 214.1 rushing ypg, 4.9 ypc, 30 sacks
2009 - 122.8 rushing ypg, 3.7 ypc, 37 sacks

But a lot of those sacks were on Jefferson for holding on to the ball and his lack of pocket presence. Flynn did have more rushing yards and rushing TDs, and was superior in his pocket presence and feel for the game. Even though Jefferson was faster and more athletic, he just didn't have a good feel for how to move in the pocket, or how and when to scramble. Same deal when he was running the option, a play that can be very effective when executed properly, but he just never developed a feel for how to run it decisively.
