Bama has more olinemen and linebackers, that I know for sure.

Herman Johnson
Joseph Barksdale
Trai Turner
La'el Collins (undrafted due to circumstances)

Perry Riley
Kelvin Sheppard
Kevin Minter
Lamin Barrow
Kwon Alexander

Pretty sure that's it....

ETA: Forgot Kwon and Barrow, and apparently Ali went undrafted. Also forgot to include big Herm.... to have three OL drafted and 4 NFL OL in 8 years is ridiculous for a program of LSU's stature.

Hard to judge strictly by "nfl talent" when most of them are just skill and our line play has been mediocre.

So you're saying Saban is a decent coach?

Add kwon, but not a single player from Louisiana. Beckwith and debo will change that, but 2 in 11 years? Our state doesn't produce enough talent at key positions.

Did I say saban at Alabama?

I'm talking about at lsu. I know you are intelligent enough to realize saban at Bama is different than saban at lsu

Beckwith

Thought he was from Alabama...?

ETA: You're right, not sure where I thought I heard that from.

Problem is that all the good LB prospects are playing RB in Louisiana. Devin White is a good example.

I'll give you OLine, but there are a ton of LSU defensive lineman.

I counted 7 Bama Dlineman and 9 LSU DLineman in the NFL.

Mingo and Dorsey are from LA. Who else still in the league? Montgomery not from here but I don't even know if he is still on a team.

3-4 to 4-3 so about even I guess.

What linemen are still in the league? I'm drawing a blank. Tyson is on the falcons, looked that one up.

Plus the two I mentioned were on teams that beat Alabama.

Bennie Logan, Brockers, Ego, and Danielle Hunter are the recent ones. The first two were very good at LSU and in the NFL. The last two underachieved at LSU and then saw huge improvement quickly in the NFL. The Vikings couldn't believe how Hunter was totally wasted at LSU.

There are also a few older guys who aren't really relevant to the conversation, but still LSU guys like Jean-Francois, Kyle Williams, Al Woods and Tyson Jackson.

Damn I forgot about all those guys, I need to turn in my fan card.

Bennie Logan another LA guy. Still looks like LA is lacking in enough talent at those positions. And again those guys beat Alabama.

Damn looking at this shite is making me glad we told Haley to take a hike.

Kyle Williams - last played in 2005
Glenn Dorsey - last played in 2007
Tyson Jackson - last played in 2008
Ricky Jean-Francois - last played in 2008 (as a junior)
Al Woods - last played in 2009

Michael Brockers - last played in 2011 (as a sophomore)
Bennie Logan - last played in 2012 (as a junior)
Barkevious Mingo - last played in 2012 (as a junior)
Ego Ferguson - last played in 2013 (as a junior)
Jermauria Rasco - last played in 2014
Danielle Hunter - last played in 2014 (as a junior)

DLU has certainly taken a huge hit in recent years, and what's worse, we can't seem to keep any NFL prospects once they hit their physical maturity. It's also a bit concerning that we've only had 3 DTs drafted since 2009.

Damn, this is really depressing. We really need orgeron to come big this cycle or the bleeding won't stop any time soon.

I may be wrong, but is Hunter the only one recruited when chavis was DC? I'm not counting any of those studs from that 09 class.

I know that might hurt some lsu saban fan feelings

OK dipshit. Let's hire the coach of Arkansas then or better yet one of the five that beat them every year. We will put them on one year contracts and at the end of every season, we hire one of the 5-6 coaches who ends up beating AR...

Miles has been an absolute stud of a coach and has endured a ton and keeps running out a competitive team regardless of circumstance. Who has done this? The sec has caught up and Is a Qb league now similar to the NFL. Miles hired cam. Saban hired kiffen. Those 2 moves separated the 2 programs.
If u don't have a superior Qb, u will need a dominating shutdown defense to win any hardware moving forward.
Miles may have burned out ; its a very difficult job and when your miss on high dollar personnel, it keeps u up at night. primadonna players do as well. It's a grinding job.

But for all of u non appreciative , believe lsu sits on a old burial ground or something and should win it all regardless of coach ....ask yourself this, which coach in the sec would u put your retirement $ on to replace Alabamas dominance? and if u had a gun to your head are u taking Hugh freeze this weekend?

That is exactly what you've been blind of your entire life on the rant, we don't have to dethrone Bama at #1 for this to be a GREAT business move as a fanbase. All we HAVE to do is not lose 4 games every season for the next hire to be better than the Les.
