I totally agree. LSU has to come out aggressive and ready to play. Unfortunately I don't see that. I see LSU coming out playing a conservative offense to protect Harris from making mistakes, and leaving Miles completely baffled on how to move the ball with 8, 9,or 10 in the box without throwing a pass.

yeah they will stack the box from the start, have to let Harris read this and get out of those scripted plays! if the first 3 plays look like the Miss St game I'm going to fricking lose it!

I agree.

A throw he looks very comfortable doing is when he rolls out.

I loved Mett, but Harris and him are night/day (no pun intended) compared to throwing it on the run. Harris is deadly accurate on the run, even rolling to his left.

Short hitches, bubble screens, corner routes, quick outs

so then everyone can bitch about LSU running an offense like that of the JJ era

Miles may start Harris, but he ain't gonna let him play the whole game. I expect Jennings to get much playing time. I also expect frustrated and pissed off LSU fans, screaming at the TV, "Just leave Harris in!" So be sure to take your blood pressure medication and prepare yourself for the classic Les Mile heart attack ending.

We don't need a 1-2 man route off of play action with Harris trying to diagnose what the secondary is doing. I'd rather take a 3 and out vs. a pick 6 off the bat. Measure Harris' psyche coming off the first drive and go from there...

I agree, we may even need to see what coverage AU shows...........little shite like that

Agreed....wide-azz open from the get go. The Barners are expecting us to line up in 2 TE sets and punch it at them.
Just one friggin time I'm hoping Miles will just let the dogs loose......mistakes be damned!!!
He can reel it in if things start going ca-ca.

To win and regain a chance to the NC, this must be the "Balls To The Wall" game ..full out football. Offense and Defense

I actually agree....

Want to see us take a shot early on... PA deep to Dural / Dupre all night.

Be aggressive, keep Auburn on their heels, and hope Beckwith is at the MLB spot.

But, at the same time, we need to have some possessions where we run the ball, take our time, let that clock tick, and keep their O and our D off the field.

Little chance that Miles does that, especially with Harris making his first start.

as unlikely as it may seem...I would not be totally shocked ...
Frankly, if Miles losses this game (TWO SEC losses) w/ Bama, Ole Miss, Ark, Florida and A&M coming, he knows his season is over....(not to overlook KY)
so, yes, he may do some strange things.

17 point deficit is when the offense will start to open up

I think it'd be smart to line up 3 wide in the shotgun and run out of that for the first few plays. I don't care if we run it to get him warned up, but please not the 1 WR set.

I see our only chance in this game being if we come out aggressive and burn them as they stack the box and blitz, which they will do. If we come out conservative and try to protect Harris, we are going to get behind and play right into Auburn's hands. Harris and this young offense may not be ready for this environment on the road, but we need to find out if we want to have a chance. Our front 7 is simply not good enough to allow us to play close to the vest football like we have in the past. I hope we aggressively attack with our weapons and let the chips fall where they may.

I agree with this. But I also agree with the others that say it won't happen until we are way behind and it's way too late.

You really think Miles is going to let Harris just come out slinging it in his first ever start, on the road, against a top 5 team? Have you watched Les' football teams in the last 5 years?

I fully expect LM to play this game in the les fashion of pounding it out. If we wait to open it until we get three scores down like he did against Wisconsin and MSU we will get our arse kicked. Our only chance is to open up the offense early and get the box unstacked.

If they play too conservative from the get go then I feel like it negates any advantage of starting Harris over Jennings.

I have a strong feeling that we are going to try and establish the run first. They haven't dialed up many pass plays when Harris has been in. Just a bunch of bs read-options and run plays that get us 2 and 3 yards. I really hope they let him air it out on Saturday.. Otherwise we really don't have a whole lot to look forward to.

I agree 100% that aggressive and diverse play-calling will be a must in this game. Unfortunately, I also agree with those who don't expect it to happen.

Think about 2006. Jamarcus early on in his STUD junior season, with Bowe, Davis, and Doucet his primary targets. Then mix in a shitty-arse Auburn pass defense. Should've been a BIG day in the air, but Miles refused to open it up and we all know how that game turned out. I just have a hard time seeing him turn loose a true freshman QB making his first start at Auburn if he didn't do it with that crew in "06.

I am hoping SOMEHOW that he proves me wrong. The only hope I think we have is that he trusts Cameron, and surely Cameron knows it's a necessity.
