AU's defense front is pretty decent, but I'd isolate LF and Guice on their LBs...and I think that DE will do well scrambling for yardage...their LBs are tough, but not terribly fast...

I like seeing Etling on the scramble, but man it makes me nervous. He's not built like Cam Newton or anything; I just keep thinking about injury.

So far he's done a good job of avoiding contact on his runs, though. Impressed with him, just want him to stay at 100%

Do people around here really have so much free time that they are reviewing other teams film for a game that they have nothing to win or lose in other than bragging rights?

If Etling does get hurt I think the time on the sideline may actually help Harris if he gets another chance.
Not throwing the short touch passes is what doomed this offense under him

AU's front is legit, but so was State's. Supposedly anyway.

JH has always been a tough place for us to play, regardless of the teams' records going in. I know their O looks terrible, but I remember. a 12-10 game a few years ago when we though we go in there and push them around.

Did you get the "film" from AU or via the SEC office?

You might have seen a replay on SEC or watched the game when it was on or maybe recorded and watched it. "Film" is more than just doing those 2 things. It does involve other camera angles than what we see in general.

Don't think we'll see an abundance of designed runs with Etling. He strikes me as a guy with decent enough speed to pull it down and gain some positive yards when the play breaks down or a guy smart enough to tuck it and take advantage for an easy first down when pass coverage totally vacates a running lane for him.

But probably not enough of a factor to see many plays with him on the run by design.

One area that we may see it and where he looks to have the decision making skills for it is having Etling roll out of the pocket with a run/pass option. He looks very good at throwing on the run and getting the ball out accurately.

That hurt, but more damaging was the fact that he simply wasn't seeing all those options. Look how many times in just the two games Etling has played that he's looked downfield, nobody was open and he dumped off to a RB underneath for a first down. Harris wasn't getting to the point of even attempting to do that very often. Maybe it was because of the trouble he has with throwing those passes?

As a matter of FACT, I can confirm that 1 parent of a recently graduated LSU player not only has a TD account, but his sole job was to review tape. He's here somewhere. Say hi.

But my point being.....some people are that freakin passionate about their school and team. Why knock it?

Speaking for myself only...I'm retired at age 69...I travel the world 12 months a year following the best climates...today I surfed in the morning and will go dancing tonight...in between I really like to follow my favorite team, the LSU football team...as an ex-coach, I love to play the Xs and Os...love to strategize before each game and match wits with our opponent...

Whoah, dude. You sound like you got some real 'speriance.

You don't have to be such a prick. He reviewed prior games in an attempt to enlighten and/or entertain others on a message board. Lighten up coach.

He took a couple of pretty "good" hits against State, but wasn't worse for the wear. Obviously injury is a thing in football, but he certainly doesn't appear to be a fragile little flower.

I'm sure there are some things you do that others would consider a waste of time.

I think he will take the open space like aaron rodgers does. not a true threat but will just take what is given

Am I the only one who doesn't understand what this means?
