After further review: 8 officials errors favoring Auburn in last 1:30

After careful review of the last drive, Les Miles and LSU performed very well, except for one glaring player error. There were 8 errors by the official which all favored Auburn. Even if you give them the slightest benefit of the doubt it was glaring just how inept or biased they were:
1:38 Etling scrambled for first down at AU 27
1:30 1st & 10 AU 27 Etling complete to Dural. Officials called forward progress stopped in bounds at AU 19. Dural still fighting for yardage and they are actually tussling and Dural went out of bounds on his feet.
If forward progress stopped the play ended at 1:23, yet the whistle did not sound until he was out of bounds. If that was the case the clock should have stopped. The officials mad a post play decision forward progress was stopped on the field but that was not the live call on the field.
1:03 2nd & 8 AU 19 As a result of the failure of the officials to stop the clock 20 seconds ran off before next snap. Etling threw to Smith near the goal line. Pass ruled uncatchable by ref so clearly he saw pass interference. Actually there was clear holding by the safety so something should have been called
:58 3rd & 2 AU 19 Etling to Dupre to AU 14 for first down Dural down with defender on himat ;56 Umpire 5 yards away looking at them an does not stop the clock for first down catch. Another official further away stops the play at :54 but 2 seconds were lost.
Officials hurriedly set ball in play after moving chains. Within 7 seconds they signaled clock to start running again with receivers still running back from deep routes
There s confusion in getting set as Dupre line dup on wrong side, Etling waved him over at :42 and the snap was at :34, so that play took 24 seconds to begin. This was the only true gaffe by LSU on the drive.
1st & 10 AU 14 Incomplete pass
:28 2nd & 10 AU 14 Etling sacked to AU20, last time out LSU
:24 3rd&10 AU 20AU Carl Lawson clearly off sides and 2 feet past LOS when ball snapped and no flag
Etling complete to Dupre to AU 10. Dupre may have been able to get out but fought for yardage. [b]If offsides called play would have stopped at :19.
Instead they had to hurreiedly set up
:05 AU10 Etling to Dural at 4 for first down. He is clearly down at :02 with 2 officials looking right at it and play not stopped until :01. LSU flagged for illegal motion
After penalty LSU has :01 to initiate a play instead of at least 2 seconds or more given official errors during the drive. There was no signal given by the official to start the so on what basis did the clock operator start it.
Finally Malzahn and players began jumping in celebration yet there was no official announcement of teh review by official Hubert Owens for 12 seconds. Did he give tehem a sign prior to his announcement?
Granted all of these issues are seen through an LSU lens, but if even a could of the officials errors had not occurred LSU wins.

Good coaches prepare kids to overcome poor officiating.

How about LSU just handle it's business and not even remotely put itself in that position with 1:30 left to go....

You forgot when we took our 2nd timeout at 1:47 but clock ran to 1:40, eventually being put back to 1:43.
Regardless of all that though, frick our coaches for shitty redzone play calling all game. Never should have come down to time.

Did you watch the rest of the game? Touchdown or not at the end...I think I would still feel the same way about Les and the season.

Should've been 2 seconds for last play. How this is being overlooked - who knows. Tigers got hosed with some Alabama home cooking.

holy frick who cares
it was a cripple fight between two teams that'll probably finish near the bottom of the conference.
honestly part of me thinks it was better for the losing team because they'd get rid of their coach before the other team would.

They showed the review on the jumbotron and it was evident to everyone in the fricking stadium you lost.
You guys are melting more than antibarner after the kick six over a much more meaningless game.

Instead of a sanctimonious comment why don't you consider the players performed well and made 6 or 7 positive plays of the last 8. While not every official call will go their way the preponderance of poor calls was too much to overcome.

Or maybe it had something to do with the replay on the giant video board in the stadium clearly showing the ball not snapped and the clock at 00:00.
Did you forget the obvious holds by Lsu that weren't called the entire final drive? What about the illegal formation that happened on the last play that didn't actually happen?

Stop.
LSU never should have been in that position to begin with.
Oh yeah...and the O-line SUCKED DONKEY DICKS!

Never seen a fan base whine as much about officiating as this one. Every game people are complaining about the officiating. LSU lost plain and simple. End of story.

I always imagine the people that complain about officiating to be immature 15 year olds. Mature adults understand that officiating is generally fair.
Do referees make mistakes - of course. But when a fan spends all this time and energy picking apart every play looking for mistakes, well, it's just pathetic.
Auburn fans could do the exact same thing.
We got outplayed last night, in all phases of the game. We didn't deserve to win.

The last two minutes were pathetically officiated with regard to time. Any adult can agree with that.
It doesn't excuse the loss, but that doesn't mean it didn't happen either.

Miles has been here long enough to know the Birmingham Mafia isn't ever gonna give LSU the toss up. You won't beat a team in the last drive very often here. If LSU gives SEC refs too much rope, you best believe they're gonna hang them.

That is all it took....we win easily with the last TD with a few secs still on the clock. I saw this unfold too and was yelling snap the darn ball. No urgency by the coaches to get a play in, and none by the players to keep playing FB...poorly coached team...
You add this to the abysmal pass protection all night, key penalties, fumble, horrible punting, inability of D to get off the field on crucial 3d downs & big pass plays allowed....and it equals a loss. Talented but just not disciplined enough to win SEC FB games vs a spirited team on the road. Credit to AUB for playing better and getting the W.
