I can tell you that:

Stringer is not 5'9", but he is a hell of a shooter and should be starting over Bass real soon. He's quick and hit at least 1 from the 'U' at half ct.

Turner is the real deal. He'll be our guy for the next few seasons hopefully.

Dotson is way more confident driving to the basket and looks good.

The rest of the team is strong. I think we can rebound a little better, but Storm and Malcom will be fine, and our bench is solid. Harris will be a nice addition as well.

There are a few white kids.

Ludwig looked like Ludwig. Sorta goofy, but fundamentally sound.

Darrenbecker didn't play a whole lot, but he's similar to Ludwig with fundamentals and such.

Green is a big body, hopefully will produce a little bit this year. I think he out rebounded White and Storm combined, and played less minutes.

Hamilton and Del Piero or whatever it is, didn't play.

Dennis Harris was with one crutch on the bench as well.

I think they're much improved from last year. I don't know what the other teams have, but we have a lot of talent on this team. Stringer had 16 or 17 points and he didn't really play until the 17 minute marker in the 2nd half. Turner reminds me a little of Ronnie Henderson in that he's a calm player and he can shoot it. Storm and Malcom are going to be tough in the middle, and Harris will add some flare playing the 3 and 4. Dotson was a disappointment to me last year considering the hype, but just looking at this first game, he looked very good. He played good D, hit some shots, and drove aggressively to the basket. Those guys previously mentioned will be our 'team', but we'll have a strong bench with some experience in Bass, Green, and Ludwig. I don't know what we have in Courtney or Hamilton, but we'll see. TJ finally has a team he can call his though, and they'll definitely be fun to watch.

Hamilton can't play this year.

Derenbecker just needs more time on the court to become acclimated to the speed of the game.

And I was really surprised about how we rebounded last game. Will be nice to get Harris back to add even more length.

Just like Ludwig, except he's a perimeter player and not a post player.

So, nothing like Ludwig, except that he's white?

I saw nothing from Darenbecker on Friday that indicated he had any grasp of any fundamentals.

He's just like Ludwig in that he's fundamentally sound, and yes white. With that being said, I don't think either of them are any good outside of high school ball. They were both playing 3. Ludwig moves to the 4 some too.

If you would, dot my "i's" and cross my "t's" for me too if it makes you feel better.

If I thought it would help your understanding of basketball, I would.

Ludwig is definitely a forward... now the only way he is playing the 3 is if we are going with 3 forwards and with this teams guards I dont see TJ doing this at all...

That being said I think Ludwig can put together some quality minutes at the 4. He boxes out better than anyone I've seen go through LSU in a few years for sure.

It has little to do with confidence and alot to do with health. He was still rehabing a serious knee operation last year, which is a killer when you play the slashing type game he is comfortable playing.

I know the first game was physical in nature and alot of guys on both sides were stacking fouls, but Storm has to be able to control himself and stay out of foul trouble for he and White to do the damage on the boards they are capable of.

Not sure how anyone can evaluate Derenbecker after playing 6 minutes of his first ever college game. Give the kid time.
