From "Cocky Talk" message board....TIFWIW

Ray Tanner just said that the game will be played Saturday but they haven't decided where. Although the stadium is fine conditions around town are poor. He hopes to announce a decision within 24 to 36 hours.

At this point, it is damn irresponsible to have this game.

in Columbia. Plenty of options to host this game are not far away.

So, where all should we make hotel reservations? Charlotte? Atlanta? Jacksonville? BR? Where else could they possibly have the game?

The bottom line is the money. I'm thinking it'll be in Baton Rouge with Columbia getting a healthy payout if the ticket proceeds.

if the LSU Athletic Department doesn't have a contingency plan in the works to have this game at Tiger Stadium on Saturday...Alleva should be fired on the spot!!!!

This is why you'll never be anything higher than "blue collar" status. Leave the important thinking to the professionals.

according to what? the ga dome has hosted college football games on three straight days in the past. the panthers are off this week. there's also a stadium in baton rouge, maybe you've heard of it. bottom line, there are multiple locations where arrangements can be made

Here's a question- if it IS in Baton Rouge and we bought tickets from StubHub in the LSU section of USC's stadium- do those tickets go back to the season ticket holder/seller or do we keep the tickets?

For those saying the game will be flat out cancelled - no way.

It will happen, just not in Columbia this weekend.

It's almost as if some fans weren't alive during 9/11 or Katrina.

That's the risk you take going third party.

StubHub will give you a full refund. If you sold tickets through StubHub, then they will take the money back.

There are very little hotel rooms in Charlotte due to the race and the Panthers just re-seeded the field.

I highly doubt this city can handle a large influx of people right now.

I hope this game gets played. It needs to be played for LSU's sake, and hopefully this weekend. It shouldn't be played in Columbia though.

I just really wish the SEC would call something on this.

Hell no. If I'm an SEC school other than Bama or Auburn, I do NOT want the SEC office making the decision on this. It's gotta be up to the host school.

Just a reminder to the LSU faithful! If you plan to go to Columbia for the game, tow your boat behind your RV just in case!

The game will be played in Columbia, wet or dry! If game is cancelled or moved, major refund of tickets. Game is played no refund! The Gamecocks will not want to lose any revenues!
