You lost me here. The poster made a case that TAMU made a better hire. TAMU has a TON of money (second only to UT in funding) and Schloss leaves TCU after he lost his advantage at TCU? The poster I replied to didn’t realize TCU was a private school like Vandy.

If I could downvote this post a million times, I would.

Our coach has 2 trips to Omaha in 5 years at Arizona. Schloss has 5 in 20. Which looks better to you, again? And who's career is on the rise/who's is falling?

Stop this miserable nitpicking BS. Let the man come and do his job...he's already flipped a great commit. Wait til he gets Milazzo hitting .280, yall all gonna change that tune real quick.

Yall are way too hung up on resume. Younger guys will not have it.

Resume alone is a retarded way to hire.

Wholeheartedly disagree.

I’ve spent a lot of time around Schloss; nice guy, but we made the better hire between the two.

The TCU boosters that wag the dog didn’t have an issue letting him leave. That wasn’t the case a couple of years ago.

Agree on this. There were basically two guys that I would have been really happy with. We got one of them. We needed a top flight recruiter that knows offense.

I think Schloss and the frogs were ready to part ways, he can’t keep his paws off the coeds and wasn’t real discreet about it, he was asked to reel it in and it sounds like he told them to frick off

People said that about A&M football, and 5 years later they haven't even played in the SECCG.

Time tells who makes the better hire.

LOL at the notion that Aggie would do anything right.

With apologies to this site's head clucker, the OP is obviously a chickenshit -- starts the thread offering nothing to back up his claim, then he's gone like a fart in the wind.

I believe Johnson has been further in the CWS than Schloss…
Just seems like Johnson was off the radar. Nobody can make an argument for why the second tier guys are any better. Guys like vitello, Godwin, Schloss, etc. There’s just not an argument to be made. It’s because nobody around here noticed and/or focused on him. They say this guy or that guy is better, but they can’t legitimately justify why. Sounds like the people in charge know more than we do thank god.

I like it a lot. Youngish coach; not a dick; has been very successful; and has lots of energy.

Thank God we didn't hire an old man like Casey or Corbin.
