A solution for the empty seats in the lower bowl

My solution: Sell a Seat Filler season ticket for $150. Each of these tickets would be tied to a particular seat in the lower bowl. During home games, the Seat Filler ticket holders watch the game in the PMAC, where they would have access to restrooms/concessions. (More revenue for athletic dept).
When the people leave the stadium they have their ticket scanned out. Then, the Seat Filler would get a text telling them their seat in the stadium is now open.
The Seat Filler ticket would also be an interesting option for people with upper deck seats, who could start the first half in the nosebleeds and come down to the chair backs for the second half.
I don't think you'll ever be able to keep these people in their seats if they don't want to be there. So, you figure out a way to get people who really want to be there in those seats. What do you think?

Write the code for the programming, you got a winner

If only I knew how to do that! You could have it send the text when the ticket is scanned out - I would think that would be possible.

Seriously, that is a great idea. Except what to do if the ticket holders never show up in the first place. Those corporate buffoons often don't show. Optics are terrible with empty seats at the start of a game. Have an upvote my friend....

Look, this may not be the answer, it the answer is out there, and we are on the way to it.
But I think the best answer has to do with minimizing the IMPACT of traffic on people who would otherwise like to stay.

Thats a good idea, minus the paying for it. I'll be dammed if I trust LSU to actually "fill seats" with that money. How about just open it up at half and let folks find seats. They'll make money on concessions.

Seats have been sold, Alleva could care less who shows up...Howver an audit of Frat allocation needs to be done, that's extra income being wasted.

I doubt they open the P Mac.but yea you could still do what you are talking about

Yeah, the people
Who leave the stadium are not buying that extra pizza, etc. money is not being captured that could be captured with asses in seats.

In a perfect world this computer software would also be able to detect the tickets that were never used and send the text to the seat filler. LOL!

Or you could do a seat filler by game basis. Put like ATM type machines outside the stadium, however many tickets or whoever scans out, it goes into the machines. Then anybody can walk up and buy the tickets for a discounted price for the remainder of the game... and the maching would know exactly what seats and where...

So you think LSU can sell almost 200,000 tickets for each game to have a back up person for each seat?

How?
There literally isn't the infrastructure to do it. That's not on the university.
Not to mention you are severely limited by the river as a natural boundary to the Westt. Baton Rouge traffic is horrid under typical conditions. Why would anyone expect better when you cram several hundred thousand people into a few square miles?

I like that idea too! And have it where you can see which seats are open online and purchase them that way too - this would help the upper deck folks.

What about the people who never show up at all?
What person would pay $150 for the off chance that they could get a seat? They could get stuck with some self-righteous TD poster who stays until the stadium is empty and they're shutting the lights off.

True. Do it both ways though, because alot of mobile services SUCKKKKK at TS.

Here's the beauty of it - who cares how many you sell? But if you get most of the chairback portions sold, that would be a big improvement.
I do believe there are a lot of people priced out of these tickets that would love to be able to have access to these seats.

They would of course sell the seats that typically empty first. But one reason I said open PMAC for game as an option is to give the seat fillers an experience for their $150 season ticket.

Not to mention when I sit in those sections those people don't even cheer.
