A little surprising.....

I, for one, was a little surprised to hear Les talk about the plans for Jennings and Harris to battle it out to see who wins the starting job. Talked a lot more about a suspended player than I would have expected. In the past, he never made comments like this about suspended players.

He most likely doesnt want Brandon Harris to feel that he has won the job already he wants him to compete for it

Agreed, I believe all three suspended players were mentioned by name. While DE will be filled by a 'host of others'

I think it shows that Les knows a lot more about the Jennings incident than everyone else, since there's going to be a QB competition.

Bama didn't have a starter named at this time last year and played in the NC game with a good QB.

my point is, i think IMO we have two serviceable QBs but not 1 game changer

He was a bit " different" today with the entire spill. The QB competition is just coach speak. He most likely knows already though. I gave up on listening for anything football useful a while ago. Now i just wait to see what comes out of his mouth. cringes and giggles u can bet the house on 1 of those. Just follow his actions not his alien language is my advice.

around the time of the arrests, I thought someone posted that there were 2 separate incidents at the apartment. an earlier one where Jennings was present, and then a 2nd one (where Dwayne Thomas broke in the guy's room) where he wasn't. was that ever shown to be the case?
if so, maybe Les doesn't think Jennings did anything all that bad, the charges will be lessened/ dismissed (at least against him), the punishment thus far has been enough, and he'll be reinstated soon.

I'm laughing at everyone on this board that actually thinks Harris is going to start. Jennings will start the entire season, baring an injury.

Coach "spik" pushing Harris to keep working hard and not relax. It was no accident he only gave Harris one reps with the 1s in the spring game. Twofold thing. Not let any other team see him see him and prompting him to keep working hard.

I wouldnt go that far with Miles. He just speaks in a way that I cant follow and have given up trying to decipher whatever rolls off his tongue.
Now i just embrace it. The cringes still get to me but Im learning to enjoy those as well.
You may be thinking of Meyer or Saban. U can call both of them liars and not even blink.
