No shite. Now they think the greatest DC of all time is someone with one good year running Fickell’s defense.

He was the best option for DC

But sure let's settle for a Pelini type. I welcome it because I personally don't think O is a long term asset as HC and his new hires are going to show that.

I’m not saying he was or wasn’t the best option, just pointing out how funny you posters are

You all didn’t watch a cincy game until the bowl game

Who suggested that?

So you are actively rooting against LSU? Got it. What a pussy.

How do you know that? Do you know every available coach in the country?

It was not "get Freeman" or hire "a Pelini type". Those are not the only two options.
There are other possibilities.....Lots and lots of them.

I think it’s more the fact that we drastically overpaid for Pelini last year, had to pay his buyout this year and do not seem to be trending in the right direction as to hiring a defensive coordinator without tapping into the plethora retreats that haven’t coordinated a defense in the modern era of college football or finding one that relate to and coach our talent into fielding a top 20 defense. People would like to see some positive news trending LSU’s way at some point but have sadly grown accustomed to waiting for the announcement of another geriatric, underwhelming coaching hire that we somehow find a way to overpay.

What exactly are we suppose to do, you pussy?

He made a decision between 2 schools. It’s not like LSU didn’t interview him and make him an offer.

Freeman was Lt Gov a few decades back. If I am not mistaken he was owned by the AFL-CIO

Two weeks ago, Orgeron didn't know who Freeman was, either.

The choice won't be Arnett, and it won't be Reeves. It will be Richard or Raymond.

Orgeron HAS to make a minority hire. That's the one thing that is guaranteed. If not, things will get ugly again. Orgeron doesn't have the freedom to hire solely on merit. It's sad, but it's also true.

What a stupid response. Obviously you did not comprehend the point being made. Paying large amounts of money for coaches make it harder to part ways with when its time to make staff changes. Case and point Les Miles’ large buyout. Sooner or later the booster piggy bank gets empty, handcuffing decisions on coaching staffs.
