PM is a good recruiter & he does a good job of tinkering with a lineup to get players in right spots BUT, he struggles mightily with the mental part. This team is playing ULTRA tight & one mistake leads to everything falling apart.
Bergman used to talk about "getting through the pressure barrier." He was talking about coming through in the clutch. PM has these kids wound tight.

Could be 55% if the other 10% is all mental.

I don't think that's how the math works.

maybe so. but it is all NOT on PM. his team pitching has regressed badly and is woefully inconsistent. it must be driving him nuts.

we have scored 5 runs. that should be enough to win with the "pedigree" our pitching coach and pitching staff had when the season started.

i'm not sure who's "falling apart" but when you give up 9 runs fairly early it seems to me it is the pitchers or the pitching coach or both that are falling apart.

I didn't cite Yogi but thought it would be assumed it came fr Yogi. Bobby Knight once said the mental part of basketball is 4 times as important as the physical.

between Dunn shitting the bed, PM's refusal to sit/DH Deichmann in the middle of one of the worst defensive seasons by an individual in LSU baseball history and Cain running us out of 39538502959 runs this season, the coaching has definitely not been good.

True, they are going to take on the persona of the head guy. CPM looks like he's going to shite himself everytime things go a little bad
