good, not great. he's allowed at least two runners in all 3 appearances. he hasnt given up a run, but he hasnt been as sharp as you would want from your closer.

he's walked a couple of people. none of his hits were really hit hard, just seeing eyed singles. and in one of his appearances there were two errors in the half inning (one on a strike 3 that wouldve ended the game but moore couldnt locate the baseball in time to throw him out).

How hard will it be to get non-SRO tix for tonight? For one student and one non-student. Any guesses? I haven't been able to make many games in person lately.

speaking of other potential bats, what's the status with Alex Edward? I think he's ok. I wasnt at wednesdays game but he was supposedly warming up down in the pen. Didnt get in the game though.

I heard he had a slight hammie just before the opening game last week...which is why he was moving a lot slower than the other players when he was called out for the pre-game introduction of the players.

As someone else posted, lsusports.net has bleacher seats available. Also, if you check the ticket marketplace (also through lsusports) there are a lot of tickets available.

In other words, it would be quite easy to get non-SRO tickets for tonight

Yocom started a very nice double play against mcneese. it was in the early innings but he snared it on a short hop while charging it and made a quick flip to nola. it was a really nice play.

Yes, that was a really nice play on the short hop.

He might move Hanover to 2B and try somebody at 3B.

Or Moore when Ross is healthy, unless Katz goes back to RF----lots of moving parts at this point.

I think at this point if yocom came out of the lineup the person that would replace him would be foster. over powell at 3rd and hanover at 2nd.

Yea would be nice to see Foster continue to get ABs throughout non-conference play

ETA; I was being sarcastic w/ my EP comments, certainly too early to yank Yocum

I can't argue with that, especially if Moore is in the mix at 1B. I think we are right in that if Yocom doesn't work out at 2B, they will move Hanover there.

I think Yocom was just too overanxious at the plate the first weekend and that he will hit. As others have said, it is too early to judge. At this point (a dozen at bats), if you are .250 hitter, one bloop single changes the .250 to a .333.
