That's from Chuck Dunlap of the SEC office.

UPDATE: Now they're aiming for 6:25.

Well, Hawthorne had said that officials had said that the SECOND game would be 7 for sure ... I'm curious about the first game too ...

The game, scheduled for nine innings, will resume with the score 7-0 in the first inning. It will go nine innings unless LSU builds a lead sufficient for the mercy rule.

Will they play the second game, if needed, tonight. Game probably wouldn't start until after 10 pm. Would make more sense to play it in the morning.

At 5pm, they were scheduled to air the SEC Track and Field Championships. The fact that they are not, must mean they are playing short programs until the game resumes.

A 10-run lead through seven innings. That would end it early.

If LSU wins this game, the next game would be a scheduled seven-inning game.

Chuck Dunlap told me Paul Mainieri and David Perno would have much of the say-so in whether that game happens tonight or early tomorrow. And of course, Mother Nature will have a say too.
