Post yours here.

I just finished watching the game for the 2nd time, thanks to DVR, slo-mo, and freeze frame, here's my new takeaways:

-Where the hell was Larry Porter? Never saw the guy, he's usually right beside Miles on the sideline.
-Why was KW so confused in the 1st half in the backfield? (holding up his hands)
-Ciron and JJ kidding around after the game (making up for yelling at each other on the field, a good sign)
-Cutrera was lights fricking out. That kid played a great football game, so did the other LB's.
-Chris Hawkins is a liability on the field and can't shed a block to save his life.
-RR made a great block to spring KW for an extra 10 yards on the last drive of the game.
-Ryan Baker is a beast on ST's.
-JJ is one tough QB and a real player. He sacrificed his body several times for 1st downs.
-Chad Jones and Chancy Aghaherye played out of postion for most of the entire 2nd half. Neither of them looked like they knew what was going on.
-Drake Nevis has a great bull rush.
-Rahim Alem has one move on the football field, and it is usually not the right one.
-PP will be an All American at LSU.
- Trindon should never, ever receive a handoff in the backfield as a tailback. That play should be destroyed.
-T Bob and Barksdale were left standing upright by themselves on way too many plays, indicating that they were not staying with their blocks.

Bottom line 2nd viewing.

The offense looked better than I thought. The defense looked slightly worse, but improved in the 2nd half. The coaching and play calling were piss poor.

Funny, but I saw a bull rush, a speed rush, and a spin move on three consecutive plays when he was lined up at LDE on the last drive.

The rest of your post was very good though, except for Trindon. Throw the ball downfield, and it will open up for him.

1.Plays sucked.
2.PP is the man.
3.Chuck Norris would beat the crap out of cj.
4.will we ever throw the deep ball.
5.JC was all over the field and was of the only players on the d that could hold on to a tackle.

True, but all of these moves had the same result, he over runs the play.

I doubt we will be running that kind of offense this year, so I don't see the running lanes opening up for him. With Flynn/Doucet/Byrd/LaFell this was possible.

Lyle Hitt should not be a starter.

I blame Jarvis Jones and McCoy. Who's Hitt's backup anyway? (not saying bench him, just wondering)

Offense
1. JJ plays smart and understands "throw it away".
2. WR's are very good, and need more quick passes.
3. Option is an effective play for us.

Defense

1. Linebackers are improved.
2. D-Line gets a good push, but gets too far upfield.
3. Defense lays good hits but leaves their feet often.

Jefferson is going to get killed if he doesn't stop sticking his head into contact.

No, on the spin move, he left the RT in the dust and accidentally struck Locker on the head and got the penalty. On the bullrush, he got close enough to force him to step up and take a hit from Woods.

The worst overrun of the night was by far Aghayere on that 4th down play. Everyone loves to scapegoat Alem for some reason though even though the only time our defense played well was when they allowed him to rush the passer. I couldn't care less about some 5 yard scramble Locker had due to Alem getting too far upfield. It's all about QB pressure.

Why wouldn't we throw downfield? Jefferson hit a 40 yard + TD pass to Lafell in both of his starts last year.

He's not known for being the best route runner.

Hitt is what he is. He had one or two bad plays, but he's had many worse games than that. It's not his fault that he's about 6' tall. He's not a terrible player though like people are acting like.

His backup is Blackwell or Hurst. Jarvis Jones is a good player, but he wouldn't be playing ahead of Hitt.

I def don't think everyone should be as worried as they are after watching it again. Honestly, from the middle of the 3rd quarter to the end it didn't even look like a contest.

Just a slow start, we'll be fine!

I watched him specifically on a few run plays, and if he had to go one on one with a d lineman, he was getting blown back every time. Maybe he just sucks on the plays that I watched him on
